Fits Tecno Spark 2, KA7, KA7O phones; replaces OEM part BL-34BT.
3.8V, 3200mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity on aged original batteries.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; locking tab seats flush against the frame.
We cycled this cell on a Spark 2 bench unit — fuel gauge IC recognized the new BMS after first full discharge without errors.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tecno Spark 2 (KA7 / KA7O) — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-34BT)

This is a 3.8V, 3200mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Tecno Spark 2 smartphone, covering KA7 and KA7O variants. It replaces OEM part number BL-34BT. Fit this when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or the phone shuts down unpredictably under load.

  • KA7 and KA7O compatibility: Both KA7 and KA7O variants use the same BL-34BT footprint — 87.70 × 64.70 × 3.60mm — with the same connector orientation and BMS handshake. No modification needed for either board revision.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and load cycles on a KA7 board. The BMS accepted the connection without fault flags, charge current ramped correctly, and the protection circuit tripped at expected cutoff thresholds.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This forces the fuel gauge IC to map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before any high-current session begins on an uncalibrated reference.

Why the Spark 2 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Spark 2 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its state-of-charge model from accumulated charge and discharge data on the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that learned curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. The IC keeps using its old reference, so the percentage shown on screen drifts from reality. One full discharge down to automatic cutoff, followed by a full charge at standard rate, resets the coulomb counter baseline against the new cell and brings the reported percentage back into alignment.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% charge remaining on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem, display, or a background process pulls a current spike the new cell cannot sustain at that state of charge — the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold and the phone powers off even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. It is a voltage sag event, not a capacity defect. The fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's voltage cliff, so it does not warn before shutdown. Complete two or three full discharge-charge cycles at standard rate and the gauge IC recalibrates to the correct cutoff point, typically resolving the early shutdown.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tecno Spark 2 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

It is likely in BMS lockout. If the cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit opens and blocks all current flow to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most BMS circuits on Li-Polymer cells at this voltage will accept a trickle pre-charge and exit lockout once the cell climbs above 3.0V, after which the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working on my Spark 2 after I fitted the new battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC often defaults to standard current while it negotiates with the new BMS. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Run one complete charge to 100% at the slow rate, then disconnect and let the phone sit for two minutes before plugging back in. The charge IC renegotiates the session on the second connection and, with the BMS now initialised, fast charge protocol resumes at the expected current level.

The battery percentage on my Spark 2 keeps jumping around — it was at 45% then jumped to 62% without charging.

The fuel gauge IC on the Spark 2 is still recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve. The old reference data from the original battery does not match the voltage profile of the replacement cell, so state-of-charge readings are unreliable for the first few cycles. Run two full discharge-to-charge cycles at standard rate — discharge until the phone shuts itself off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After the second cycle the gauge IC's internal model converges on the new cell and the percentage readings stabilise.
