This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or obstructed inlet — the motor current spikes above the BMS overcurrent threshold and the pack disconnects to protect the cells. After a short pause the BMS resets and the vacuum runs again. The fix is to clear the restriction: remove the filter, tap out debris, check the brush roll for hair wrap, and confirm the inlet is clear. If the trip stops occurring after clearing, the pack is functioning correctly.
