Fits Teledyne PMAT 2000 water quality analyzer; replaces OEM battery pack for 11.1V field instruments.
11.1V 6700mAh lithium-ion delivers 74.37Wh — sustains probe initialization and multi-parameter sensor logging without mid-session dropout.
Connector slides into standard 11.1V slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab engages flush against instrument housing.
We bench-tested under sustained sensor load; BMS held steady at 10.5V cutoff threshold with no early lockout events.
On first field deployment, run a full calibration cycle through the instrument menu — the PMAT 2000 maps battery state during calibration, and skipping this step causes premature low-battery warnings on the first measurement session.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Teledyne PMAT 2000 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 11.1V, 6700mAh lithium-ion pack replaces the internal battery in the Teledyne PMAT 2000 multi-parameter water quality analyzer. It restores full operating capacity to instruments used in environmental field surveys and water quality assessments. Capacity figures are taken from product data — 74.37Wh total energy.

  • PMAT 2000 platform fit: The PMAT 2000 uses a three-cell 11.1V Li-ion configuration to power its sensor array, display, and logging module from a single pack. Voltage rail and connector geometry match the OEM bay — no modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack under sustained multi-sensor load and monitored the BMS across probe initialisation events. The protection circuit handled the current spike at sensor power-up without tripping into lockout, and cell balance held across repeated discharge cycles.
  • Pre-deployment calibration cycle: After fitting this pack, run a full calibration sequence through the PMAT 2000 instrument menu before heading into the field. The instrument maps battery state during calibration — skipping this step causes premature low-battery warnings during the first active measurement session.

Probe module current spike tripping BMS on the PMAT 2000

When the PMAT 2000 powers its probe module, the sensor array draws a sharp initialisation current before settling to steady-state load. Some third-party packs have a BMS threshold set low enough that this spike triggers an overcurrent cutoff — the instrument appears to boot, then immediately dies. This pack's BMS is calibrated to tolerate the probe start surge without nuisance tripping. If you do see a cutoff at probe power-up, confirm the battery is above 10.5V resting before powering on.

PMAT 2000 readings resetting mid-logging session

Sustained simultaneous sensor load — dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and pH probes running together — pulls consistent current across a long session. If the cell voltage sags below the instrument's brownout threshold under that combined draw, the PMAT 2000 can reset its active logging session without fully powering off. This is not a firmware fault — it is a voltage dropout event at the instrument's supply rail. A pack with degraded cells will sag earlier and more severely. If resets occur on a charged pack, check resting voltage: a healthy fully-charged cell group should read at or above 12.4V before deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions

My PMAT 2000 won't power on after the battery sat unused in the carry case for several months — is the pack dead?

After a long storage period, the BMS can enter a sleep state if cell voltage has dropped below the recovery threshold — typically around 9V for an 11.1V three-cell pack. Most chargers will not initiate a charge cycle on a pack in this state. Connect the pack to a charger that has a recovery or "wake" mode and leave it for 30–40 minutes; once voltage climbs above the BMS wake threshold, normal charging resumes. If the pack does not respond after a full recovery attempt, check charger output voltage at the connector to confirm the charger itself is supplying current.

The PMAT 2000 displays an inconsistent battery percentage — it jumps around between readings and never settles on a stable number after I fitted the new pack.

The PMAT 2000 maps battery state against a voltage curve it built for the previous cell group. A new pack has different resting voltage characteristics, and the instrument's indicator needs a full discharge-to-charge cycle to recalibrate its thresholds. Run the instrument through one complete field session until the low-battery warning appears, then charge to full without interruption. After that conditioning cycle, the percentage display should track consistently against actual cell voltage.

The PMAT 2000 shuts itself off every time I start a USB data transfer to a connected PC — battery shows charged before I plug in the cable.

USB data transfer adds a simultaneous draw on top of the active sensor and display load — the combined current pull can push a marginal pack into BMS cutoff even when resting voltage looks acceptable. Check the pack's resting voltage off the charger: it should sit at or above 12.4V. If voltage is correct, confirm the USB cable is not also attempting to back-power the instrument from the PC port, as some cables carry VBUS voltage that can confuse the power management circuit. Use a data-only cable with the VBUS pin isolated, or transfer data immediately after a fresh full charge before sustained sensor load has drawn the pack down.
