Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Terrans Force DR7 PLUS 77SH2 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 11.1V 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Terrans Force DR7 PLUS 77SH2 and related DR7 PLUS variants. It fits the DR7-PLUS-77SH1, DR7-PLUS-87SH1, and additional DR7 PLUS models sharing the same battery bay and connector. Capacity figures come from the product data — not estimated from third-party sources.
- DR7 PLUS series compatibility: These DR7 PLUS variants share the same 11.1V three-cell architecture, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them does not require firmware changes — the voltage rail and cell count match across the series.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge-discharge cycles on a DR7 PLUS platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without a protection-trip fault, and the charge controller reached full termination voltage without stalling.
- Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff — do not force-shutdown — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning the firmware throws after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after swap
When a new cell goes in, the BIOS still holds EEPROM data from the old battery — cycle count, wear level, and estimated capacity. It compares incoming readings against that stale profile and flags a health warning before the fuel gauge IC has any real data to work with. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge gives the firmware enough data to rewrite that profile. After two or three cycles, the health report stabilises and reflects the actual cell.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% shown on the gauge
This is a voltage cliff under combined CPU and display load — not a fault with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC tracks charge by voltage curve, but a new cell's curve doesn't match the table the firmware learned from the old battery. Under heavy load, voltage sags past the low-battery cutoff threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run two full calibration cycles as described above, and the gauge IC recalibrates its discharge curve. After calibration, the cutoff should align with readings below 10%.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Terrans Force DR7 PLUS shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and won't move off that — what's wrong?
The BIOS is reading stale EEPROM data written by the old cell and hasn't yet accepted the new cell's identity. This shows up as a locked 0% or "unknown battery" flag in Windows power management. Run a full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — that triggers the BIOS battery learn cycle. After one complete cycle the percentage should update and charge normally.
The fuel gauge on my DR7 PLUS jumps around wildly — 60% one minute, 40% the next — is the replacement cell faulty?
The fuel gauge IC calibrates its state-of-charge estimate against the discharge curve of the previous cell. A new cell has a slightly different curve, so the IC's voltage-to-percentage mapping is off until it collects real discharge data. This is expected behaviour for the first two to three cycles and is not a defect in the cell. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted-charge cycles — the gauge will settle once the IC has enough data to remap the curve.
My DR7 PLUS shows the new battery reporting 38Wh in system info, but the product page says 48.84Wh — which is correct?
System info pulls the Wh figure from EEPROM data embedded in the battery's BMS chip, which stores the manufacturer's rated value for the original cell — not a live measurement of this replacement. The actual usable energy of this cell is 48.84Wh as stated in the product specification. The discrepancy is an EEPROM rated-vs-actual chemistry difference and does not affect how the battery charges or discharges. After a full calibration cycle the OS power report should update to reflect the new cell's capacity.
