Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schenker XMG A707 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion battery for the Schenker XMG A707, XMG A707-NYD, XMG A517 Coffee Lake, and XMG A517 laptops. It replaces the original cell when capacity has faded or the pack no longer holds a usable charge. Voltage and connector match the original specification.
- XMG A517 and A707 compatibility: Both the A517 Coffee Lake and A707 variants share the same 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture and identical pack connector. The BMS handshake uses the same EEPROM signature, so one cell fits all listed models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge-discharge cycles on an XMG-platform unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the pack without fault codes. Charge acceptance was clean from 0% to 100% with no mid-cycle cutoff.
- First-cycle calibration after install: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to the laptop's hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell chemistry and clears the inaccurate health warning the BIOS flags after every cell swap.
Why the XMG A707 shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap
The XMG A707's BIOS stores a discharge curve mapped to the original cell's age and internal resistance. When a new cell is fitted, the fuel gauge IC still references that old curve, which misreads the new cell's voltage under full CPU and display load. At around 20–30% shown, actual cell voltage briefly dips below the BMS protection floor during a load spike, triggering an emergency shutdown. Running two or three full calibration cycles resets the learned curve and aligns the reported percentage with actual cell state.
BIOS reporting battery health as "poor" or "replace battery" immediately after install
This happens because the BIOS reads health data stored in the old EEPROM record, not from the new cell's actual chemistry. The new pack has no charge history, so the health register initialises at a value the BIOS interprets as degraded. Complete a full discharge-to-hibernate then an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After two cycles, the health register updates and the warning clears. If it persists after three cycles, check that the BIOS is on the latest firmware revision from Schenker's support page.

Frequently Asked Questions
My XMG A707 fuel gauge is jumping around — showing 60%, then 45%, then 70% within the same session after fitting this battery. Is the cell faulty?
The fuel gauge IC in the XMG A707 calibrates against the discharge curve of whatever cell was last learned. A brand-new cell has no history in that register, so the gauge reads erratically until it builds a new baseline. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100%. After the second full cycle, the gauge IC locks onto the new curve and the readings stabilise.
Windows is showing this battery as 48Wh but the BIOS Energy Information screen is displaying a different Wh figure — which one is right?
The BIOS pulls its Wh figure from the EEPROM data written at the factory, which may reflect a different rated chemistry or a legacy value from the previous cell. Windows reads real-time voltage multiplied by current capacity from the fuel gauge IC, making it the more accurate live figure. The rated value is 48.84Wh. Disregard the BIOS static figure once calibration cycles are complete — it does not affect actual pack behaviour.
The XMG A517 Coffee Lake's battery charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — is this a fault with the replacement cell?
This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Schenker's firmware on some XMG platforms ships with a charge threshold set to 80% to reduce cell stress during long mains-connected sessions. Check the Schenker Control Center application — the charge limit setting is under the battery management tab. Set the upper threshold to 100% if you need full capacity, then reconnect the charger.
