Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tesla iQ700 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (106600)
This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Tesla iQ700 cordless vacuum cleaner range. It fits the iQ700, RoboStar iQ700, RoboStar iQ700 Plus, iQ400, and several additional models sharing the same 106600 battery platform. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.
- iQ700 platform compatibility: These models share a common battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol under the 106600 specification. Swapping cells between compatible models works because the charger handshake and cutoff thresholds are identical across this platform.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the iQ700 motor platform. The BMS held cutoff cleanly at low voltage and accepted full charge without tripping the protection circuit — no false overtemperature flags during sustained suction load.
- Dock charging behaviour on this vacuum: The iQ700 charging dock does not terminate charge once the pack reaches full. Remove the vacuum from the dock when the charge indicator shows complete. Leaving it docked continuously accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells in this form factor.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually caused by a partially blocked filter forcing the motor to work harder. The BMS detects the elevated draw and the cell voltage sags under load, which the vacuum reads as low power before the indicator has caught up. The indicator measures resting voltage, not load voltage, so the gap between the two widens as the filter restriction increases. Check and clean the filter first — suction recovery under a clean filter confirms the battery is not the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-use then restarts after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow — from a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — pushes motor current above the protection threshold, and the BMS disconnects to prevent cell damage. The pack resets once temperature and current drop, which is why the vacuum restarts after 30–60 seconds. Clear the blockage and verify the filter is clean; if the cutout persists on an unobstructed vacuum, check that pack voltage at rest sits above 13.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Tesla iQ700 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows full — what's happening?
The battery indicator reads resting voltage, not the voltage the motor sees under load. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw extra current, which drags cell voltage down during use even when the resting charge looks fine. Clean or replace the filter and run the vacuum again — if suction holds, the filter was the cause, not the battery. If the problem continues on a clean filter, measure pack voltage at rest; it should sit above 13.0V.
My iQ700 battery seems to hold far less charge than it did six months ago — could continuous dock charging have caused this?
Yes. The iQ700 dock does not cut power once the pack reaches full, so cells left on dock continuously receive a low-level trickle that degrades capacity over time. Li-ion cells in this voltage range lose capacity measurably faster when kept at 100% charge for extended periods. With a replacement pack, charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use. That single change significantly slows capacity fade.
The replacement battery won't charge — the dock light just flashes and nothing happens. What do I check first?
A flashing dock light usually means the charger is not getting the expected BMS handshake from the pack. First, reseat the battery firmly — poor contact at the terminal pins breaks the communication circuit. If reseating does not help, leave the pack on the dock for 10 minutes without removing it; some BMS units require a short pre-charge pulse before the handshake completes. If the light still flashes after that, test the dock with the original battery to confirm whether the fault is in the dock or the new pack.
