Toshiba DKT2304CT — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (DKT2304-CT)

This 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the factory pack in the Toshiba DKT2304CT cordless handset. It also fits the Satellite ANA9310 and Satellite ANA9320 models. When the original battery no longer holds a charge, this is the direct swap to restore wireless operation.

• DKT2304CT, Satellite ANA9310 and ANA9320 compatibility: All three handsets run the same 3.6V three-cell NiMH pack with identical connector orientation and cell dimensions (45.20 x 31.16 x 10.50mm). The base station charging circuit is calibrated for this voltage range, so swapping between these models carries no BMS conflict.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the DKT2304CT base station. The charging circuit accepted the pack without error. BMS cutoff triggered correctly at both the low-voltage floor and the top-of-charge ceiling across repeated cycles.

Range drops on the DKT2304CT after a battery swap

The DKT2304CT's DECT radio module draws a burst of current every time it transmits. A NiMH pack that hasn't completed conditioning cycles yet shows a voltage sag under that RF load. When voltage sags far enough, the transmit power drops and effective range shrinks — even if the battery indicator looks fine at rest. Running three to five full charge and discharge cycles brings internal resistance down and eliminates the sag.

Base station not charging the new pack — error light stays on

Toshiba cordless bases use a delta-V detection method to confirm a NiMH pack is accepting charge. A battery that has sat in storage at low voltage can read below the threshold the base expects at the start of a charge cycle, triggering an error or no-charge state. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly — full contact on the charging pins is required. If the error persists, check resting pack voltage with a multimeter; it should read at least 3.0V before the base will begin a normal charge cycle.
