Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TP-Link Neffos C7s — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NBL-43A2500)
This is a 3.8V, 2500mAh (9.5Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the TP-Link Neffos C7s smartphone, covering model variants TP7051A and TP7051C. It matches the OEM part number NBL-43A2500 and fits the original battery bay without modification. Use this to restore charge capacity when the original cell has degraded past the point of useful daily use.
- Neffos C7s variants (TP7051A, TP7051C): Both variants run the same 3.8V rail, use the same connector pinout, and communicate with the same fuel gauge IC — this cell slots into either board without conflict.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Neffos C7s board. The BMS accepted the cell without a protection trip, and the charge IC engaged correctly at both standard and fast-charge current levels.
- First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC needs to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state — skipping this causes percentage drift for the first several cycles.
Why the Neffos C7s reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the C7s board stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches actual cell chemistry, so the IC reports inaccurate state-of-charge values — often reading 10–20% higher or lower than reality. The fix is one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference points against the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under load — typically during simultaneous screen-on and mobile data activity — even though the OS reports remaining charge. A fresh Li-ion cell has a steeper voltage cliff than a broken-in one, so the BMS trips before the fuel gauge catches up. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging to let the cell's internal resistance stabilise. After break-in, the voltage under load at 20–30% should stay above the 3.2V BMS cutoff threshold and shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Neffos C7s won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V during storage — this is a protection state, not a dead cell. Plug the phone into a wall charger (not a PC USB port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which the phone boots normally. If the screen shows no charging indicator after 30 minutes on a wall charger, check the cable and adapter with another device before assuming cell failure.
Fast charging stopped working on my C7s right after I fitted the new battery — it only charges slowly now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs default to standard current until the BMS handshake completes and the fuel gauge IC has a valid state-of-charge reading. This is normal and not a fault. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then unplug and discharge the phone to shutdown. On the next charge cycle, fast charging re-engages once the IC has a calibrated baseline — if fast charge still does not activate after two full cycles, check that the original fast-charge adapter is in use, as USB-PD negotiation depends on the adapter, not the battery.
The battery percentage on my Neffos C7s jumps around erratically — it went from 45% to 12% in two minutes without heavy use.
Erratic percentage jumps point to the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new discharge curve it has not yet mapped accurately. The coulomb counter is interpolating from stale data tied to the old cell. Run two uninterrupted full cycles — discharge to automatic shutdown, charge to 100% without interruption, no fast charging — and the IC rewrites its reference table. After the second complete cycle, percentage reporting should stabilise and jumps of more than 5% between readings should stop.
