Fits VIVO A92S smartphones with OEM part number BLP779 replacement battery.
Voltage is 3.85V and capacity is 3900mAh — this lithium-polymer cell restores full charge cycles to your phone after the original degrades.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a locking tab at the base — alignment is keyed, no force needed.
We bench-tested this cell in a VIVO A92S reference unit; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without fault codes or charge delays.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK VIVO A92S — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP779)

This is a 3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the VIVO A92S smartphone. It matches the OEM part number BLP779 and fits the original battery slot without modification. Rated at 15.02Wh, it restores power to a phone that no longer holds a charge or shuts down unexpectedly.

  • VIVO A92S fitment: The A92S uses the BLP779 cell on a dedicated charge management rail with a multi-pin connector that carries both power and fuel gauge data. The connector layout and cell dimensions — 87.80 x 60.22 x 3.94mm — match the original bay exactly, so the BMS handshake completes without triggering a hardware fault.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the A92S platform. The BMS accepted the cell without lockout, charge termination occurred at the correct cutoff voltage, and the fuel gauge IC registered capacity within expected range after a full conditioning cycle.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After fitting this battery, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on the A92S is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve — letting it map the new cell at low current first prevents percentage jumps and early cutoff errors on subsequent cycles.

Why the VIVO A92S reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The A92S uses a coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state against a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell characteristics. The IC keeps using the old data, which causes the percentage display to lag, jump, or report full when the cell is not. One full slow-charge cycle — without fast charging — lets the IC relearn the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship and bring the percentage readout back in line.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display draws a short high-current spike and the cell voltage drops below the BMS low-voltage cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge registers the drop. A fresh cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC is most vulnerable because the IC doesn't know the cell's actual low-end voltage cliff. The BMS trips, the phone cuts out, and the percentage shown at shutdown looks high. After two to three full discharge-charge cycles, the fuel gauge maps the real discharge curve and the shutdowns stop — the IC starts issuing the low-battery warning before voltage reaches the cutoff point, typically around 3.4–3.5V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VIVO A92S won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what's wrong?

If the cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent charging a critically depleted lithium cell. Plug the phone into a slow 5V charger — not a fast charger — and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone should boot normally. If it still won't respond after an hour on the slow charger, the cell has dropped below recoverable voltage.

Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement BLP779 — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the A92S charge IC often falls back to standard 5V charging because the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet completed a full handshake with the phone's USB-PD or BBK proprietary fast-charge protocol. Run one complete slow charge from flat to 100%, then unplug and reboot the phone. On the second charge attempt, the protocol negotiation completes correctly and fast charging resumes at full rate.

The battery percentage on my VIVO A92S keeps jumping — it shows 45%, then skips to 61%, then drops to 38% within minutes.

The fuel gauge IC is using a discharge curve mapped to the original degraded cell, so its coulomb counter loses accuracy quickly against the new cell's different voltage profile. The erratic jumps are the IC correcting itself in large steps instead of smooth increments. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge rate with fast charging disabled — this gives the coulomb counter enough data to rebuild an accurate curve for the new cell. After the second cycle, percentage movement should track evenly and settle within ±2–3% of actual state of charge.
