Fits Vivo A92S smartphone; replaces OEM battery part number BLP779.
3.85V nominal, 3900mAh capacity — supplies full power to processor, modem, and display without voltage sag under load.
Connector seats into the battery slot with a single contact point; ensure the locking tab clicks before reassembly.
We bench-tested this cell against the A92S fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted charge without early cutoff, voltage held steady under 2A discharge.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo A92S — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP779)

This is a 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell rated at 3.85V nominal, built to replace the original BLP779 in the Vivo A92S smartphone. It powers the display, processor, modem, and all onboard components. Capacity figures come from our product data — 15.02Wh total energy.

  • A92S platform fit: The A92S uses a fixed connector layout and BMS handshake tied to the BLP779 specification. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector, so the charge IC and fuel gauge IC receive the correct signals on startup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the A92S mainboard. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering a fault code, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, constant-current, and constant-voltage phases correctly.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge tip: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter locks in its calibration points.

Why the A92S reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The A92S fuel gauge IC builds its percentage model from the original cell's discharge curve, stored across hundreds of cycles. A new BLP779 cell has a different internal resistance profile, so the IC maps voltage to the wrong state-of-charge points. The result is percentage readings that jump or plateau at values like 40% before suddenly dropping. One complete slow discharge followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and lets the IC recalibrate to the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display pulls a current spike that drags cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the reported charge looks safe. On a new cell before calibration, the fuel gauge IC underestimates how quickly voltage drops under load. The phone interprets that voltage cliff as a critical low-battery event and shuts down immediately. Run the first-cycle calibration procedure above, then confirm the phone sustains load at around 3.5V under screen-on conditions without cutting out.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo A92S won't turn on at all after the new BLP779 battery sat in the box for a few months — is the battery dead?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BLP779 dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone should power on and charge normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement BLP779 — the phone just charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the A92S charge IC sometimes defaults to standard current because the USB-PD or Vivo proprietary protocol negotiation times out before the BMS on the new cell confirms readiness. This is not a fault with the cell. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the fast charger — the protocol handshake re-runs and fast charge should resume at the correct current.

The battery percentage on my A92S jumps around erratically — it dropped from 60% to 12% in a few minutes with light use.

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new BLP779's voltage-to-capacity relationship. Erratic percentage jumps are the IC overcorrecting as it encounters voltage points that don't match its stored model. Drain the phone completely until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the phone. After that single full cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and percentage readings stabilise.
