Fits Twinbird HC-4326P, HC-4326BL, and HC-4326DGY handheld vacuums; replaces OEM battery HC-4326.
7.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH cell delivers steady voltage under motor load on carpets and upholstery cleaning.
Connector slides onto the dock contact pins; locking tab seats flush against the motor housing base.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the HC-4326P motor at standard suction; BMS held stable through blockage recovery.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH cells on permanent trickle charge lose capacity fast, so charge to full and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Twinbird HC-4326P Series — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (HC-4326)

This is a 7.2V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Twinbird HC-4326P cordless handheld vacuum and related models. It fits the HC-4326BL, HC-4326DGY, and HC-4324, among others. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold enough charge to complete a cleaning session.

  • HC-4326 series compatibility: These models share the same 7.2V motor rail, connector format, and cell count, so one battery pack covers the full range. Variants differ in colour, not internal spec.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through discharge under motor load and confirmed the BMS holds voltage steady until the cell is genuinely depleted — no early cutoff on a clean filter.
  • Dock charging habit on this vacuum: Do not leave the HC-4326P sitting on the charging dock continuously. Ni-MH cells in this pack degrade faster under constant trickle charge than under normal use cycles. Charge fully, then remove the unit from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens because motor current draw rises sharply when the filter is partially blocked. The BMS reads that spike as a low-cell condition and throttles output voltage early. The battery indicator tracks voltage, not actual cell capacity — so it can still show mid-range while suction has already dropped. Clean the filter first; if suction recovers, the pack is fine. If suction stays weak on a clean filter, cell capacity has genuinely faded and replacement is the fix.

Motor cutting out mid-use and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a wiring fault. When restricted airflow forces the motor to draw sustained high current, the BMS cuts the circuit to protect the cells. Resting the unit for 30–60 seconds lets the BMS reset and allows the cell voltage to recover slightly above the trip threshold. If this happens repeatedly, remove and inspect the filter — a clogged filter is almost always the root cause. A fully healthy pack on a clean filter should hold 7.2V under normal vacuum load without tripping.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Twinbird HC-4326P loses suction well before the battery light shows low — why does this happen with a new battery too?

A new pack rules out cell fade, so the cause is almost certainly the filter. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls cell voltage down early — the battery indicator sees that voltage sag and throttles output before the cells are actually depleted. Clean or replace the filter and test again. If suction holds through a full charge cycle after that, the pack and motor are both fine.

The vacuum motor cuts out for a few seconds then restarts on its own — is the replacement battery faulty?

That behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. When airflow is restricted, motor current spikes and the BMS disconnects the pack to protect the cells. The pack resets once voltage recovers above the trip threshold — usually within 30–60 seconds. Check the filter and the inlet for blockages before assuming the battery is the problem. A clear airpath on this pack should hold steady above 6.8V under normal vacuum load without tripping.

The original battery stopped taking a charge after we left the HC-4326P on the dock for weeks — will this replacement do the same thing?

Yes, it will degrade faster under continuous dock charging. Ni-MH cells in this pack are not tolerant of prolonged trickle charge — weeks on the dock causes capacity fade that looks identical to age-related wear. Charge the pack to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock and store it unplugged. That alone significantly extends how long the replacement pack holds its rated 2000mAh.
