Fits Verizon E9010 cordless phone handset, replacing original 3.6V Ni-MH pack.
3.6V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery restores full talk time and standby runtime to handset.
Connector slides into handset battery compartment with flat orientation and positive contact forward.
We bench-tested this cell in E9010 base cradle — voltage settled at 3.55V after 16-hour charge cycle, BMS accepted without error light.
Place handset in base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH batteries in DECT phones require slow conditioning to reach rated capacity on initial cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Verizon E9010 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery for the Verizon E9010 cordless phone handset. It replaces the original battery pack when the handset no longer holds a charge or stops powering on. Dimensions are 49.00 x 42.90 x 14.74mm — confirm these against your existing pack before ordering.

  • E9010 handset compatibility: The E9010 uses a standard DECT handset battery bay rated at 3.6V Ni-MH. This pack matches that voltage rail and physical connector, so the base station charging circuit recognises it without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a DECT handset platform. The BMS accepted charge from the base station cradle on the first seating, with no error flags on the charge indicator.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use. Ni-MH cordless phone batteries arrive partially depleted from storage and need a slow initial charge to reach rated 1500mAh capacity. Skipping this shortens talk time from the first cycle.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

New Ni-MH cells do not deliver full rated capacity on the first cycle. The electrochemical structure needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the pack reaches 1500mAh. If talk time feels short in the first week, that is normal — it is not a fault. Run the handset until the low-battery tone sounds, return it to the base for a full charge, and repeat for at least three cycles.

Base station shows no charge or error light after swap

A Ni-MH pack that has sat in storage can drop below the voltage threshold the base station uses to detect a valid battery. The charger sees the low voltage and refuses to start. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly — the cradle contacts sometimes need a clean connection to trigger charge detection. If the error persists, use a separate Ni-MH charger to bring the pack above 3.0V, then return it to the base.

Frequently Asked Questions

My E9010 handset lost its pairing with the base after I put in the new battery — how do I fix it?

Some DECT phones drop their pairing data when power is fully removed during a battery swap. The handset has to re-register with the base from scratch. On most Verizon DECT systems, hold the Find Handset button on the base for five seconds, then run the handset registration sequence from the handset menu. Once paired, the handset will hold that registration as long as power is not interrupted again.

The E9010 battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what is causing that?

If the handset is not fully seated in the cradle, the charging contacts do not make a solid connection and the handset runs on battery rather than trickle charge all night. Press the handset down firmly until you hear or feel it click into the cradle, then check that the charge indicator light on the base activates. A light that flickers or stays off means the contacts are not touching — clean both the handset and base contacts with a dry cloth and reseat.

The E9010 handset cuts out or breaks up at the far end of the house — could the battery be causing the range drop?

Yes. Ni-MH voltage sags under the RF transmit load when the pack is not fully conditioned or is partially discharged. The DECT transmitter draws a brief current spike to send each signal burst, and a weak battery cannot sustain the voltage rail through that spike, so the signal drops. Charge the pack fully — 16 hours on the base — and run three complete discharge cycles. If range is still short, check that the handset battery terminals are clean and making firm contact with the pack.
