This 3.7V 1500mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 5.55Wh; capacity meets the original pack specification exactly.
Connector slides straight in; locking tab seats flush with the battery compartment wall.
We bench-tested this pack on the 4620LE modem stack; BMS accepted the cell on first insertion with clean handshake.
On first charge, insert the battery and let the Jetpack complete its boot cycle before connecting devices — the firmware updates cell firmware state during initial power-on.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Verizon Jetpack 4620LE / Hotspot 3352 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (40123111.00)

This 3.7V, 1500mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Verizon Jetpack 4620LE, Hotspot 2235, Hotspot 2372, and Hotspot 3352, along with five additional compatible models. It restores power to portable Wi-Fi hotspot units that have lost capacity or stopped holding a charge. Voltage and cell chemistry match the original spec exactly.

  • Jetpack and Hotspot series fit: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. Swapping the pack does not require firmware changes or hardware modification — the host device recognises the replacement through the existing BMS handshake.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the Hotspot 3352 platform. The BMS handled both the modem draw and simultaneous Wi-Fi radio load without triggering a protection cutoff. Cell voltage held steady across the mid-range of the discharge curve.
  • Ventilation during extended hotspot sessions: When connected devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio runs at full transmit power. Keep the unit on a hard, flat surface — not a soft surface like a couch cushion — so the rear vents can dissipate heat. Trapping heat at the battery shortens cycle life faster than almost any other single factor.

Hotspot disconnecting users mid-session on a new battery

The Jetpack 4620LE and Hotspot 3352 run two radios simultaneously — the LTE modem and the Wi-Fi access point. At maximum client connections, combined current draw spikes sharply. If the replacement cell has any internal resistance above spec, voltage sags below the BMS protection floor during those spikes, and the unit drops the session to protect the cell. A battery with matched internal resistance stays above that threshold and keeps the session alive.

Hotspot not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. After several months in storage, the pack can fall below the minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V for single-cell devices in this class. The hotspot's charging circuit will not start a charge cycle if it detects a cell this low, so plugging in the USB cable appears to do nothing. Connect the unit to a wall charger (not a laptop USB port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on — a wall charger delivers enough current to pull the cell back above the recovery threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Jetpack 4620LE drops Wi-Fi connections every few minutes even though the battery shows full — what's causing that?

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. Under peak load — modem transmitting plus multiple Wi-Fi clients — current draw spikes and a worn or mismatched cell drops below the BMS cutoff threshold momentarily, resetting the session. The battery gauge shows "full" because resting voltage recovers fast, masking the sag. Replace the pack and test with fewer connected devices first; if sessions stabilise, the original cell's internal resistance was the culprit.

The replacement battery drains noticeably faster when I'm in a weak signal area — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong — this is normal LTE radio behaviour. The modem automatically increases transmit power in low-signal areas to maintain the network link, which pulls significantly more current from the cell. More connected devices at the same time compounds the draw. Move the hotspot closer to a window or higher elevation to improve signal strength; better signal means lower transmit power and slower battery drain.

The hotspot powers on but shuts off within seconds of disconnecting the charger — what does that mean?

The cell voltage is likely sitting just above the minimum boot threshold but drops immediately under load once charger current is removed. This happens when a battery has been deeply discharged or has reached end of life. Check the battery contacts for corrosion — dirty contacts add resistance and accelerate voltage drop. If contacts are clean, the cell needs replacement; target a resting voltage of at least 3.6V on the new pack before first use.
