Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Verizon SCH-i110 Illusion — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB484659YZ)
This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion cell for the Samsung SCH-i110 Illusion on Verizon's network. It fits the SCH-i110, Illusion i110, and Galaxy S i500. Same voltage, same connector, same BMS handshake as the original EB484659YZ.
- SCH-i110 and Illusion i110 compatibility: These models share the same battery bay geometry, 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and EB484659YZ BMS handshake. One cell covers all listed variants without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the SCH-i110. The BMS communicated correctly with the phone's charge IC — no rejected charge events, no thermal flags during the test sequence.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting a new cell, disable any fast-charge app or accelerated charging setting for the first complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve accurately before applying higher charge currents to an uncalibrated cell.
Why the SCH-i110 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The SCH-i110 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds a discharge model from accumulated cycle data on the original cell. When you install a new cell, that stored model no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge reads voltage and translates it using the old curve — so it reports 60% when the cell is actually at 75%, or vice versa. One full discharge from 100% to automatic shutoff, followed by a full charge, forces the IC to re-map against the new cell and corrects the readout.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SCH-i110
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a calibration error. Under load — screen on, active data connection, or a call — the cell's internal resistance causes voltage to sag below the modem's minimum operating threshold before the fuel gauge registers empty. The phone shuts down because the modem loses power, even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. Run one full discharge cycle without interruption; if shutdowns continue below 3.6V under load, the cell's internal resistance is too high and the unit should be replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SCH-i110 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in the drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Almost certainly a BMS lockout from deep discharge in storage. Li-ion cells drop below 2.5V per cell when stored discharged for extended periods, and the BMS cuts output completely to prevent cell damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS recovery threshold, typically 2.8–3.0V, then normal charging resumes.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges — is something wrong with the new cell?
Warmth on the first few charge cycles is normal with a new high-impedance cell. A fresh Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat until the cell completes a few cycles. If the back of the phone is hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, or if warmth continues past the third full charge, disconnect and check that the battery contacts are clean and fully seated — poor contact raises resistance further and increases heat output.
The percentage on my SCH-i110 keeps jumping around erratically — 45% one minute, then 62%, then back to 38%.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The old coulomb counter data doesn't match the new cell's actual charge state, so the gauge oscillates as it tries to reconcile voltage readings with its stored model. Let the phone discharge fully until it shuts off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the phone during that cycle. After one complete uninterrupted cycle, the fuel gauge IC resets its reference points and the percentage readout stabilises.
