Fits Vileda AS-193E9A and S01 robotic vacuum models; replaces OEM battery pack.
Outputs 4.8V at 3000mAh capacity; sustains motor and brush power through full cleaning cycles on Ni-MH chemistry.
Connector slides straight into battery slot with positive and negative terminals aligned; locking tab seats flush.
Bench testing showed stable voltage delivery under sustained motor load with no BMS cutoff on first charge cycle.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH cells on trickle charge degrade capacity faster than standard cycling; charge fully and remove from dock immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vileda AS-193E9A / S01 — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 4.8V 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Vileda AS-193E9A and S01 robotic vacuum cleaners. It slots into the battery compartment of the robot body and powers the drive motors and cleaning brush. Capacity is rated at 14.4Wh, matching the original cell specification.

  • AS-193E9A and S01 compatibility: Both models share the same 4.8V four-cell Ni-MH battery architecture and connector pinout, which is why one cell fits both. The voltage rail feeds the same motor driver board across this range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell under a simulated drive-motor and brush load. The BMS held stable voltage delivery across the draw cycle and did not trip during sustained brush motor engagement.
  • Dock charging behaviour: Do not leave the AS-193E9A on its charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge on Ni-MH cells accelerates capacity fade significantly faster than cycling charge-to-full and removing the unit from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the brush and suction motors draw more current than rated. That elevated draw pulls the cell voltage down early, and the robot interprets it as low battery. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the cell is not the cause. If the filter is clear and sag still happens, the cell has lost enough internal resistance tolerance that it needs replacing.

Motor cuts out mid-run then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip triggered by sustained restricted suction. When airflow is blocked — usually a clogged filter or debris caught in the brush roll — the motor works harder and draws a spike of current. The protection circuit cuts power to prevent cell damage. The robot restarts after the BMS resets. Check the brush roll for tangled hair or debris and inspect the filter. If the behaviour continues on a clear machine, verify the replacement cell is at or above 4.8V resting voltage before first charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vileda AS-193E9A fitted a new battery but the robot still won't charge — what's going wrong?

The AS-193E9A charger sends a low-current probe signal before committing to a full charge cycle. If the replacement cell has shipped in a deeply discharged state, the charger may not detect a valid response and will not initiate charging. Connect the robot to the dock for 30 minutes anyway — some units will eventually handshake once the cell voltage climbs above approximately 4.0V. If there is still no charge activity after that, check the dock contacts and the contact points on the robot base for corrosion or debris.

The robot runs for a much shorter time than it used to even with a new battery — could a blocked filter cause that?

Yes, a partially blocked filter is one of the most common causes of short apparent runtime on this class of robot. The brush and suction motors draw significantly more current when airflow is restricted, which depletes the cell faster and can trigger premature low-battery shutdown. Remove and tap out the filter, then run the robot again. If runtime improves noticeably, the filter was the cause — replace it if tapping out does not fully restore airflow.

My Vileda AS-193E9A's battery faded quickly after I replaced it six months ago — could the dock be the cause?

Ni-MH cells are particularly vulnerable to trickle-charge damage when left on a dock continuously. The AS-193E9A dock does not cut power once the cell is full, so cells left docked between every single use absorb a constant low-level charge that degrades capacity over weeks. Charge the robot fully, then remove it from the dock and store it off-charge until the next use. Following that pattern from the start of a new cell's life significantly slows capacity fade.
