Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo iQOO 5 5G — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-N9)
This is a 3.87V, 4200mAh (16.25Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Vivo iQOO 5 5G, V2024A, and V2024. It replaces OEM part number B-N9 directly. Swap it when the original cell has degraded, lost capacity, or failed outright.
- iQOO 5 5G, V2024A, V2024 fit: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The B-N9 cell measures 81.20 × 64.30 × 5.46mm — any deviation would prevent the rear cover from seating or cause connector misalignment.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge and discharge on a V2024 unit. The BMS accepted the cell, reported state-of-charge correctly after calibration, and did not trigger protection cutoff under sustained 5G modem and display load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell. Skip this step and percentage readings will drift.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the iQOO 5 5G
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity failure. When the 5G modem and AMOLED display pull current simultaneously, a degraded or uncalibrated cell drops below the BMS cutoff voltage before the percentage gauge reaches zero. The phone shuts down because the cell cannot sustain voltage under that combined load — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging off recalibrates the coulomb counter and shifts the reported percentage to match actual cell voltage.
USB-PD fast charge not accepted on the first cycle after replacement
After a cell swap, the charge IC on the iQOO 5 5G may fall back to standard 5W charging on the first cycle. The BMS on a new cell starts with default impedance values, and the phone's charge negotiation reads those values as outside the expected fast-charge window. This is not a fault — it clears after the first full cycle. Complete one standard charge to 100%, allow the phone to cool, then reconnect your fast charger. The phone should resume full fast-charge negotiation from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions
My iQOO 5 5G shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. What you're seeing is a voltage cliff: under combined 5G modem and screen load, the new uncalibrated cell drops below the BMS cutoff voltage before the percentage counter reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% with fast charging disabled — that cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual voltage curve.
The battery percentage on my iQOO 5 5G is jumping around after the swap — it read 60%, then jumped to 80%, then dropped to 40% in minutes.
Erratic percentage readings after a cell replacement mean the fuel gauge IC is still operating on calibration data from the old cell. The coulomb counter has no accurate reference for the new cell's discharge profile yet. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge it to 100% in one uninterrupted session with fast charging turned off. After that single cycle, the IC has enough data to track the new cell accurately and the jumping should stop.
The iQOO 5 5G won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in the phone for a few weeks before I installed it.
If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage — and the phone will not respond to the power button or a charger. Connect the phone to a low-current 5W charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The BMS needs a trickle of current to exit lockout before the charge IC will accept a normal charge session. Once the screen shows a charging indicator, you can switch to your standard charger and bring the cell up to full charge normally.
