Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Vivo X60 Pro — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-P1)
This is a 3.87V, 4100mAh (15.87Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Vivo X60 Pro and X60 Pro 5G (model numbers V2047 and V2047A). It slots in where the original B-P1 cell sits, restoring power to the processor, display, modem, and all internal components. Capacity figure is taken directly from the product specification — 4100mAh.
- X60 Pro and V2047 series fit: The V2047 and V2047A share the same battery bay dimensions (78.30 × 62.30 × 4.62mm), voltage rail, and BMS connector pinout as the B-P1 spec. No hardware modification is needed — the connector seats and the charge IC recognises the cell on first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge and discharge on X60 Pro hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, charge current ramped correctly through CC and CV phases, and the fuel gauge IC logged the new cell without intervention.
- First-cycle fast charge handling: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the X60 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The X60 Pro uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its percentage model from the previous cell's charge history. Swap in a new cell and the IC is still reading against the old discharge curve — so 80% on screen may not reflect the actual state of charge in the new cell. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to below 10%, followed by a full charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the IC resets its reference model to match the new cell's actual capacity.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated and the cell hits its lower voltage cliff earlier than the OS predicts. Under modem load or screen-on load, the cell voltage drops sharply at low state of charge — the BMS trips the protection circuit before the OS can register the drop. It looks like a random shutdown at 25%, but it is a voltage sag event, not a faulty cell. Run the recalibration cycle described above — one full drain, one full charge — and check that the shutdown does not repeat before 10%.

Frequently Asked Questions
The X60 Pro USB-PD fast charge isn't working after I put in the new battery — is that normal?
Yes, on the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can reject the fast charge handshake until it has profiled the new cell's impedance. Plug in with fast charging enabled, let it reach 100%, then discharge normally to below 10% and charge again — fast charge typically resumes on the second cycle. If it still defaults to standard charging after two full cycles, check that the USB-C cable is rated for the X60 Pro's fast charge protocol, not a basic 5V cable.
My X60 Pro gets noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges after replacement — should I be worried?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes more voltage to maintain current — that extra work shows up as heat. It typically settles after three to five charge cycles as the cell's impedance drops to normal operating range. If the phone stays warm past the fifth cycle or the back becomes uncomfortable to hold, check that no adhesive residue is bridging the battery contacts. Normal warmth fades on its own; persistent heat does not.
The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation — how do I recover it?
A Li-Polymer cell stored without a charge can drop below 2.5V per cell, triggering BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage, so the phone gets no power at all. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold before normal charging begins. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, let it reach at least 15% before booting. If no indicator appears after 45 minutes on charge, the cell has dropped below recoverable voltage and will need replacement.
