Fits Vivo S16 and V2244A models; replaces OEM part number B-X6.
3.89V lithium-polymer cell with 4500mAh capacity delivers 17.51Wh to sustain processor and display load without voltage sag under modem activity.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on the cell housing aligns with the phone's internal contact layout.
We bench-tested this cell on a Vivo charge dock; the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion and held regulation through a full discharge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging runs.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo S16 / V2244A — 3.89V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-X6)

This is a 3.89V, 4500mAh (17.51Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Vivo S16 and V2244A smartphones. It replaces OEM part number B-X6 and fits the same physical cavity and connector as the original cell. Capacity figures come from our product data, not estimates.

  • S16 and V2244A compatibility: Both the S16 and V2244A share the same mainboard platform, battery connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — that is why one cell covers both model numbers. Swapping between them does not change anything electrically.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the S16 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without throwing a protection fault, and the charge IC communicated normally with the fuel gauge through the full cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell in the S16

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage-discharge curve. When the new cell hits a voltage cliff — often around 3.5V under modem or display load — the phone cuts power before the gauge reaches 0%. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to shutdown followed by a full charge, which forces the coulomb counter to reset its endpoints against the new cell. After that cycle, low-percentage shutdowns typically stop.

USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after installation

After a cell swap, the charge IC on the S16 can refuse to negotiate fast-charge protocols — including Vivo's FlashCharge — on the first charge cycle. This is a BMS initialisation behaviour: the IC defaults to standard 5V/1A until it has completed one full cycle and confirmed the cell is within expected impedance range. Plug in via a standard charger for the first full charge, let it reach 100%, then switch back to your fast charger. Fast-charge rates restore after that initial cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo S16 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

It is likely in BMS lockout, not dead. Lithium-polymer cells that self-discharge below roughly 2.5V per cell trigger a protection cutoff that blocks normal power-on. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell before the BMS re-enables the output. If the charging indicator appears and the voltage climbs above 3.0V, the cell will recover normally.

The battery percentage on my S16 keeps jumping around erratically after I fitted this replacement — what's causing it?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The coulomb counter stored endpoints from the old, degraded cell, and those reference points no longer match the new cell's voltage behaviour. Run one full uninterrupted discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts itself down — then charge to 100% without unplugging. That single cycle resets the gauge endpoints and percentage readings stabilise.

The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery area while charging — is something wrong with the replacement cell?

Some warmth is normal on the first few charge cycles with a new high-capacity lithium-polymer cell. A fresh cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat while pushing current in. If the warmth stays mild and disappears after two or three cycles, nothing is wrong. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charger cuts out, remove the phone from the charger and check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises contact resistance and generates excess heat.
