Fits Wiko Lubi 2 and Riff smartphones; replaces OEM part numbers Lubi2 and RIFF.
3.7V Li-ion cell rated 1200mAh delivers 4.44Wh — enough to power calling, messaging, and apps on this entry-level handset.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with no modification; locking tab seats flush against the phone frame.
We bench-tested this cell on a Lubi 2 unit; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and held voltage under standby and active load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Lubi 2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Lubi2)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1200mAh (4.44Wh) for the Wiko Lubi 2 smartphone. It covers the Lubi 2, Lubi2, Lubi, and Riff models that share the same form factor and connector. Dimensions are 53.00 x 34.00 x 5.70mm — confirm these against the original cell before ordering.

  • Lubi and Riff platform fit: The Lubi 2, Lubi, and Riff share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. The BMS communicates charge state over the same two-wire interface, so this cell slots into all four compatible models without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Wiko platform and monitored BMS handshake, cutoff voltage, and charge acceptance. The cell reached full capacity by the second cycle with no charge IC faults reported.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins. Skipping this step causes the OS to misread state-of-charge against the old cell's curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Wiko Lubi 2

This happens when the cell cannot hold voltage under load from the modem or display. The fuel gauge IC reads a healthy percentage at rest, but the moment current draw spikes — an incoming call, screen wake — voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold and the phone shuts off. It is not a fault with the replacement cell itself. One full discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter so the OS cuts off before the voltage cliff, not after.

Phone not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell drops below 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charge input to protect the cell from damage. Plug into a charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs time to trickle current past the BMS lockout threshold. Once the cell climbs above 3.0V the BMS releases and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Wiko Lubi 2 shuts down without warning at around 25% — why does this keep happening with the new battery?

The fuel gauge IC in the Lubi 2 is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. At rest, it reads 25%, but under modem or screen load the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects and hits the BMS cutoff. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle the coulomb counter will track the new cell accurately and the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my Lubi 2 jumps around erratically after I installed the replacement — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC recalibrates itself over the first few charge cycles after a cell swap, and until it completes that process the percentage reading will drift or jump. Let the phone discharge to shutdown naturally and charge back to 100% twice without interrupting the cycle. After the second full cycle the IC locks onto the new discharge curve and the percentage stabilises.

My Wiko Lubi 2 feels warm near the battery while charging after fitting the replacement — should I stop charging?

A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance on the first few cycles. The charge IC pushes current into higher resistance and generates more heat than usual until the cell breaks in. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles and the warmth should reduce noticeably after that. If the phone still feels hot to the touch after the third full charge, check that the back cover is seated correctly and not trapping heat against the cell.
