Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiper Gioia XP / Runner Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (110Z03700A)

This is a 25.9V, 10200mAh Li-ion battery built to replace part number 110Z03700A in Wiper cordless mowers. It fits the Gioia XP, One Xh, Runner A1, Runner X, and more than 21 additional Wiper mower models. The voltage and connector match the original, so the mower's charger and BMS handshake with it directly.

  • Multi-model Wiper platform fit: The Gioia XP, One Xh, and Runner A1/X all share the same 25.9V battery rail and BMS communication protocol. One part number covers the range because the voltage, physical form factor, and cell configuration are identical across these models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through blade-motor inrush loads and confirmed the BMS holds steady under the high-current draw of a cold start. Cell balance and discharge curves matched OEM spec across five full cycles.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before first use of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before it even begins cutting.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass and wet-grass blade load

The 110Z03700A battery's BMS monitors current draw in real time. In thick or wet grass, the blade motor pulls significantly more current than on a dry, short lawn — sometimes exceeding the BMS overcurrent threshold in under a second. When that happens, the pack cuts power to protect the cells. Slowing your mowing pace in dense sections reduces peak draw and keeps the BMS from tripping. If cutoff happens repeatedly in the same patch, the grass load is the cause, not the battery.

Charger won't accept the pack after winter storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly over months. A pack stored all winter in an unheated garage can drop below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 20V for a 25.9V pack. Most Wiper chargers will display a fault light and refuse to begin a charge cycle at that point. To recover the pack, check the terminal voltage with a multimeter. If it reads above 18V, the cells are likely recoverable — place the battery in a warm room for a few hours and retry the charger, as some units will re-initiate once the pack warms above 15°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Wiper mower cuts out halfway through a row then starts again after a minute — is the battery faulty?

This is thermal protection activating, not a faulty cell. When the blade motor runs hard in thick or damp grass, the pack's internal temperature climbs until the BMS triggers a cutoff to prevent cell damage. The one-minute recovery is the BMS resetting once temperature drops. Allow a five-minute cooldown before restarting, and slow your pass speed in heavy sections to reduce sustained current draw.

The battery gets noticeably warmer than my old one for the first few uses — should I be concerned?

New cells run slightly hotter during the first conditioning cycles because they haven't yet reached stable internal resistance. This is normal across the first three to five full charge-discharge cycles. After that, surface temperature should settle to roughly the same level as your previous pack. If the pack is still running hot after five full cycles, check that the battery bay on the mower is clear of grass clippings blocking airflow.

My pack sat in the shed over winter and now the charger just flashes a fault light — what do I check first?

Self-discharge over winter can pull a 25.9V pack below the charger's minimum acceptance threshold. First, measure the pack's terminal voltage with a multimeter. If you're reading above 18V, the cells are recoverable — bring the battery indoors to a room-temperature environment for two to three hours and retry the charger. If the reading is below 18V, the cells have likely discharged too deeply for a standard recovery cycle.
