Fits WIR Elektronik switch eUhr eU340 Smart Safe; replaces OEM part 1100-000080.
14.8V, 450mAh Li-Polymer cell powers the electronic locking mechanism and access controls continuously.
Connector type and orientation match the original battery slot; no modification to housing required.
Bench testing showed stable BMS voltage regulation under the eU340's intermittent draw cycle without early cutoff.
After installation, wait 60 seconds before expecting reconnection — smart home devices re-join the mesh network after power interruption.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

WIR Elektronik switch eUhr eU340 Smart Safe — 14.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (1100-000080)

This 14.8V, 450mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number 1100-000080 in the WIR Elektronik switch eUhr eU340 Smart Safe. The eU340 is a compact smart home safe with an electronic locking mechanism and access control system. When the original cell loses capacity, the lock controller loses stable power — this replacement restores it.

  • eU340 locking system compatibility: The eU340 uses a 14.8V four-cell Li-Polymer pack to power both the electronic lock actuator and the access control board simultaneously. Both circuits draw from the same rail, so voltage accuracy matters — an underspec cell trips the BMS before the actuator finishes its cycle.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through lock engage and disengage sequences under load. The BMS held voltage within spec across both the actuator spike and the standby draw without triggering a cutoff event.
  • Post-installation lock cycle: After fitting this battery, run one full manual lock-and-unlock cycle before relying on the safe. The eU340 control board re-validates actuator response on the first cycle after power interruption — skipping this step can leave the lock state reported incorrectly in the app.

eU340 going offline in the smart home app after battery swap

The eU340 drops off the mesh network every time power is interrupted, including during a battery swap. After installing the new cell, the device runs a network re-join sequence that takes up to 60 seconds. Do not attempt to trigger the lock or interact with the app during this window. If the device does not reappear in the app after 90 seconds, press the pairing button on the unit to force a re-join.

Low battery alert appearing immediately after fitting a new cell

Li-Polymer cells lose charge during storage — if the replacement has been on a shelf, its resting voltage may sit below the eU340's low-battery alert threshold, typically around 13.2V for a 14.8V four-cell pack. The alert fires the moment the controller reads that voltage, even with a brand-new cell installed. Connect the safe to its charge source and allow it to charge until the alert clears. Check the app for a green status indicator before treating the alert as a fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

The eU340 shows as offline in the app right after I swapped the battery — did I fit it wrong?

The battery swap itself interrupts power, and the eU340 has to re-join the mesh network from scratch each time that happens. This re-join sequence takes up to 60 seconds — the device is not defective and the battery is not at fault. Leave the safe alone and wait a full minute before checking the app. If it still shows offline after 90 seconds, press the pairing button on the unit to force a reconnect.

The new battery drained much faster than the original — what causes that?

Fast drain on a freshly installed cell usually points to a high polling interval or a network condition forcing the eU340 to retransmit status packets frequently. Check your smart home hub's device settings and reduce the polling frequency if it is set below five minutes. A hub that recently lost and re-found the device will sometimes lock into a high-frequency check-in loop — restarting the hub resets this. If drain continues, confirm the hub firmware is current, as older versions are known to over-poll reconnected devices.

The eU340 won't reconnect to my hub even after waiting — it just stays offline permanently.

A permanent offline status after the re-join window usually means the hub dropped the device pairing record when power was cut — this is different from a normal re-join delay. Open your smart home app, navigate to the device list, and delete the eU340 entry entirely. Then put the safe into pairing mode using the pairing button and add it back as a new device. Once re-paired, the hub will restore its settings from the cloud profile if your platform supports it.
