Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xeron Sonic Pro X155G — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 14.4V, 4400mAh (63.36Wh) Li-ion battery is a direct cell replacement for the Xeron Sonic Pro X155G notebook. It slots into the original battery bay and connects via the factory connector. Fits the Sonic Pro X155G only — confirm your model before ordering.
- Sonic Pro X155G battery bay: The X155G runs a 14.4V four-cell series configuration with a dedicated BMS that monitors cell voltage and temperature. A replacement cell must match that voltage rail exactly — undershooting trips the low-voltage cutoff; overshooting risks BMS lockout. This cell meets the 14.4V nominal spec the board expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on an X155G chassis. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge terminated correctly at 16.8V, and the protection circuit held cutoff at the expected low-voltage floor under sustained CPU and display load.
- First-cycle calibration on the X155G: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears on the first boot after every cell swap.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% shown after battery swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a faulty cell. Under combined CPU and display load, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track — the system sees a voltage that maps to empty before the percentage display catches up. The BIOS shuts the machine down to protect the board, not the battery. Run two complete calibration cycles — full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then uninterrupted charge to 100% — and the fuel gauge IC will remap the curve against the new cell. After two cycles, the shutdown threshold should align with the displayed percentage at or below 5%.
BIOS reports battery health as "poor" or "replace now" immediately after fitting
The X155G BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers written by the previous cell during its degradation. A new cell hasn't yet written its own cycle count and capacity data, so the BIOS displays the old cell's final health state. This is not a fault with the replacement — it's stale EEPROM data. Run the battery learn cycle: full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then a continuous charge to 100% with the laptop off. After one complete cycle the BIOS re-reads the updated registers and the health warning clears.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Xeron Sonic Pro X155G fuel gauge shows a completely different percentage in Windows than in the BIOS — which one is right?
Neither is accurate until the fuel gauge IC calibrates against the new cell. The BIOS reads raw voltage; Windows reads a capacity estimate from the battery's EEPROM, which still holds the old cell's data. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted charge-to-100% cycles. After that, both readings should align within a few percent of each other.
System info on the X155G shows the replacement battery as 63Wh but the original was listed as a higher Wh rating — is the new cell underspec?
The Wh figure Windows displays pulls from the EEPROM's "design capacity" register, which reflects the original cell's rated chemistry, not a measured value. This replacement is rated at 63.36Wh (14.4V × 4400mAh) — that is the actual cell spec. If the displayed figure differs, it means the EEPROM hasn't been overwritten yet by a full calibration cycle. Complete one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the register will update to reflect the fitted cell.
The Xeron Sonic Pro X155G shows the new battery as "0%" or "unknown" and won't start charging at all — what's wrong?
This usually means the BMS hasn't initialised the new cell yet. The protection circuit on a freshly fitted cell can enter a standby state if the BIOS doesn't send a charge-enable signal on first connection. Plug in AC power, hold the power button for 15 seconds with the battery seated, then release and boot normally. If the charge indicator still doesn't activate, remove the battery, reseat it firmly until the latch clicks, and reconnect AC — the BMS re-initialises on each physical reconnect and the BIOS should detect the cell at 14.4V nominal within one minute.
