Fits Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 smartphone, replaces OEM battery part number BM3K.
3.85V at 2650mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge capacity for calls, messaging, and app performance.
Connector is a standard flex-tab design; orientation slots into the battery compartment without modification.
We bench-tested this cell against the OEM curve — BMS voltage regulation held steady across discharge, coulomb counter tracked capacity without drift.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM3K)

This is a 3.85V, 2650mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 smartphone. It fits models M1810E5E, M1810E5C, and the broader Mix 3 series that share the BM3K form factor and connector pinout. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • Mix 3 series compatibility: The M1810E5E and M1810E5C variants share an identical battery bay, connector, and BMS handshake. The same BM3K cell fits all of them — no adapter or pin modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Mix 3 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC stepped through CC/CV phases correctly.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Mix 3 after a cell swap

A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was trained on. When the phone draws a surge current — modem transmit, screen brightness spike — the new cell's terminal voltage drops sharply under load. The system reads that drop as a hard low-battery cutoff and shuts down, even though the coulomb counter still shows 20–30% remaining. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted charge cycle retrains the IC. After that cycle, the reported percentage tracks actual cell voltage accurately.

USB-PD or fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

Xiaomi's charge protocol negotiation runs between the charger, the charge IC, and the BMS. On the very first charge after a cell swap, the BMS may report an unverified cell state, causing the charge IC to fall back to standard 5V/1A input as a precaution. This is not a fault with the battery or the charger. Complete one full slow charge to 100% and allow the phone to read the cell at rest. Fast charging resumes normally from the second cycle onward once the BMS clears the unverified-cell flag.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Xiaomi Mix 3 shows 25% battery and then just dies — is this a faulty cell?

This is a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a defective cell. The coulomb counter inside the phone was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misjudges where the voltage cliff sits on the new Li-Polymer cell. Under modem or screen load, the new cell's terminal voltage dips sharply, and the system cuts power before the gauge catches up. Run one complete discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — that single cycle retrains the gauge and the shutdowns stop.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BM3K cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent cell damage. The phone will not power on from this state because the BMS blocks current output until a recovery charge is applied. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the BMS sees voltage rise above its recovery threshold, it releases the lockout and the phone will boot normally.

The battery percentage on my Mix 3 is jumping around erratically after the swap — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are caused by the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell chemistry curve. The IC uses a stored model of the old cell's impedance and discharge behaviour, and the new BM3K cell does not match it exactly on day one. Keep fast charging disabled and complete two full slow discharge-charge cycles. By the end of the second cycle, the IC has enough data points to update its internal model, and the percentage readout stabilises.
