This is a 3.85V, 3800mAh Li-Polymer battery for the XTOOL X100PAD AUTO Key Programmer Tablet, AutoProPAD LITE, and AutoProPAD LITE Version Auto Key Programmer. It replaces OEM part HB386589 using the same cell dimensions (89.50 × 64.40 × 4.60mm) and BMS profile. Fit this battery when the original no longer holds a charge through a full diagnostic or key programming session.

  • X100PAD AUTO and AutoProPAD LITE platform: These models share the same mainboard voltage rail and HB386589 connector footprint, so the BMS handshake passes without firmware prompts or false low-battery warnings on any of the three listed variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the X100PAD AUTO platform. The BMS held stable cutoff at the correct thresholds and did not trigger false over-discharge protection during OBD session load draws.
  • Data export before swap: Vehicle profiles and saved ECU data on the X100PAD AUTO are held in RAM that the main battery powers. Pull every saved vehicle profile through the tablet's export function before disconnecting the old battery — that data does not survive a full power loss.

Why the X100PAD AUTO won't boot after a battery swap

A replacement Li-Polymer cell ships at storage charge — typically 3.60–3.70V. The X100PAD AUTO bootloader has a minimum threshold near 3.75V before it will initiate the OS load. If the tablet shows nothing when you press power, the cell voltage is below that threshold, not a wiring or compatibility fault. Connect the OEM charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on again.

Wireless OBD link dropping mid-session on a low cell

The X100PAD AUTO's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi stack draws a burst of current each time it polls a vehicle module. When the cell voltage sags below roughly 3.65V under that burst load, the wireless subsystem drops momentarily and the session disconnects — even though the battery indicator still reads partial charge. This symptom appears earlier in the battery's life than the display dimming does. If links are dropping before the low-battery warning appears, charge the tablet to full before the next session and monitor whether the behaviour stops.

I swapped the battery and all my saved vehicle profiles are gone — can I recover them?

Saved vehicle profiles on the X100PAD AUTO are stored in RAM backed by the main battery. When the battery is disconnected entirely, that RAM loses power and the data is gone. There is no recovery path after the fact. Before any future battery swap, open the tablet's data management menu and export all saved profiles to a USB drive or cloud account first.

The screen on my X100PAD AUTO starts dimming well before the battery indicator shows low — is that a display fault?

The display driver on the X100PAD AUTO is voltage-sensitive and reduces backlight power before the battery management circuit triggers the low-battery warning.
