This 3.7V 5200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original 18650-1S2P cell pack in the XTOOL InPlus IK618 Automotive Key Programmer. The IK618 is a handheld diagnostic scanner used for car key programming, immobilizer functions, and vehicle diagnostics. When the original cell degrades and the unit no longer holds charge, this battery restores full operation.

Why the IK618 won't boot after a battery swap

A freshly installed replacement battery ships at a storage charge — typically 30–50% state of charge. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault with the battery or the scanner. Plug into the supplied charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on, and the unit will boot normally once the cell clears the threshold.

The IK618's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules draw a spike of current each time they transmit data to a vehicle ECU or the XTOOL cloud.
