Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zebra MC3200 / MC32N0 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTRY-MC32-01-01)
This 3.7V, 5200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the Zebra MC3200, MC32N0, and MC32N0-S mobile computers. These are rugged handheld barcode scanners used in warehouse, retail, and field operations. It matches the original voltage rail, connector, and BMS handshake required by the MC32 platform.
- MC3200 / MC32N0 platform fit: The MC3200, MC32N0, and MC32N0-S share the same battery bay, contact configuration, and BMS communication protocol — one pack covers all three variants without adapters or firmware changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on MC32N0 hardware. The BMS authenticated correctly, the device reported accurate state-of-charge, and no false low-battery shutdowns occurred during scan-burst sequences.
- First-shift preparation for pick-and-pack: After installing this pack, seat the scanner in its cradle and complete a full charge cycle before the first shift. The scan trigger draws the highest inrush current when the cell is near minimum charge — starting the shift on a full cell prevents false BMS trips during the first hour of use.
Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack
The MC3200 cradle reads charge state through spring-loaded contacts on the underside of the battery. If those contacts have residue — from shelf storage, label adhesive, or transfer from a previous pack — the cradle cannot complete the authentication handshake and throws a charging error. This is not a battery fault. Wipe the gold contact pads on both the battery and the cradle dock with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the pack firmly until the cradle LED changes state.
Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
During a rapid scan burst, the MC32N0 fires the imager or laser and simultaneously maintains a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth polling cycle. The combined current draw of both can cause a momentary voltage sag on a partially discharged cell. When voltage dips below the radio module's minimum threshold, the wireless stack drops and the device reconnects — which operators see as scan lag or dropped data. Keep the cell above 50% charge during high-frequency scan sessions, and verify battery voltage is reading above 3.6V in the device diagnostics menu before starting a high-volume shift.

Frequently Asked Questions
The MC3200 imager won't read barcodes right after I put in the new battery — is the battery dead?
The imager needs the cell above a minimum charge level to fire at full power — a new pack shipped at storage charge (roughly 40–50%) can cause weak reads or no reads at all. Place the scanner in its cradle and complete a full charge cycle first. Once the battery reaches 4.1–4.2V, the imager fires at rated power and reads normally.
My scanner runs noticeably shorter shifts than the old battery did even though both show full charge on the device screen.
Shift endurance on the MC32N0 depends on scan burst frequency and how aggressively the wireless radio is polling — both draw from the same cell simultaneously. If you have moved to denser scan environments or shorter Wi-Fi polling intervals since replacing the old pack, the draw is genuinely higher. Check device diagnostics for battery cycle count on the old pack — if it was heavily cycled, the baseline comparison is not accurate. Run two full charge-discharge cycles on the new pack to let the BMS calibrate its capacity estimate before drawing conclusions.
After a full charge, the MC3200 shows 100% but drops to low battery warning within the first 30 minutes of scanning.
This is a BMS calibration issue, not a cell defect. The BMS state-of-charge estimate can be inaccurate if the pack was installed and charged before the firmware completed a reference cycle. Run the battery fully down until the device shuts off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% in the cradle — this gives the BMS a full reference curve. After one complete cycle the percentage display will track accurately against actual cell voltage.
