Sale priceFrom $27.99 USD Regular price $34.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits ZTE V72, V72a, and Velox tablets; replaces OEM part Li3734T42P5hC66045.
3.7V nominal, 3400mAh capacity delivers full power to processor, display, and WiFi radio.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab at the base.
Bench testing confirmed the BMS accepted charge at 5V/2A input with no fault codes or cutoff delays.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display after the swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE V72 / Velox — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3734T42P5hC66045)

This is a 3.7V, 3400mAh Li-Polymer battery for the ZTE V72, V72a, and Velox tablets. It replaces OEM part Li3734T42P5hC66045. If your tablet no longer holds a charge or shuts down unexpectedly, this cell restores full power capacity to the board.

  • V72, V72a, and Velox compatibility: All three models share the same 3.7V power rail, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell covers the entire line without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a V72 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff — do not force power-off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This single full cycle lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell and eliminates the inaccurate percentage readings that almost always appear right after a replacement.

ZTE V72 shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old, degraded cell. When the display and Wi-Fi run together, the combined current draw causes a voltage dip the old calibration misreads as a low-battery cutoff. The tablet shuts down even though usable charge remains. One full discharge-to-shutoff and uninterrupted recharge to 100% resets the reference points the gauge uses — after that cycle, the shutoff point drops back to the correct level near 0%.

Fast charging stops working after battery replacement on the Velox

The Velox charge controller uses a proprietary negotiation step before enabling fast charge current. On a freshly installed cell, that negotiation sometimes fails on the first connection because the BMS has not yet completed an accepted charge cycle. Plug into the original ZTE charger — not a generic USB adapter — and let it complete one full charge without interruption. After that cycle, the controller recognises the cell and fast charge re-enables at the correct current level.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZTE V72 shows 40% battery but just shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC calibrated itself to your old degraded battery and still uses those reference points against the new one. Under combined display and Wi-Fi load, a voltage dip looks like empty to the miscalibrated gauge. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff — do not force it off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle resets the gauge to the new cell's actual voltage curve.

The battery percentage on my V72a is dropping from 100% much faster than it should — what's going on?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a capacity problem with the cell. The gauge IC still holds discharge-rate data mapped to the old cell, so it burns through percentage points faster than the actual charge depletes. One full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by a complete uninterrupted charge corrects the stored discharge curve. After that cycle, the percentage drop rate should match the 3400mAh capacity of the new cell.

My ZTE Velox feels warm while charging after the battery swap — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is normal. The charge IC on the new cell runs a slightly higher initial current as it establishes communication with the tablet's power management circuit. If the tablet stays warm to the touch but never becomes hot, no action is needed. If it becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable, disconnect immediately and verify you are using the original ZTE charger — third-party chargers that misreport voltage can push incorrect current into the cell.
