Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Darkfull — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLG13J24)
This 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the OEM TLG13J24 cell in the Wiko Darkfull smartphone. It restores power to devices suffering from rapid discharge, swollen cells, or complete failure to hold charge. Capacity is 2000mAh (7.6Wh) — identical to the original specification.
- Darkfull platform fit: The Darkfull uses a single-cell Li-Polymer pack at 3.8V nominal with a fixed connector pinout. The TLG13J24 form factor — 85.22 × 43.20 × 4.27mm — is specific to this chassis. No other Wiko cell shares this exact footprint and BMS handshake configuration.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load discharge on the Darkfull board. The BMS accepted charge without fault flags, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no thermal events, no unexpected trips.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging runs into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Wiko Darkfull after a cell swap
The Darkfull's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old cell after replacement. When the new cell's actual voltage drops faster than the stored curve predicts — particularly under modem or display load — the phone shuts down while still reporting capacity remaining. This is a voltage cliff mismatch, not a faulty battery. One full discharge-to-cutoff followed by a complete uninterrupted charge cycle forces the IC to relearn the new cell curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% typically stop.
Device won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the TLG13J24 shipped or was stored at a low state of charge and sat unused, the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS lockout threshold — typically 2.5V per cell. The BMS enters a protection state and blocks normal boot. Connect the Darkfull to a wall charger — not a USB hub — and leave it for 15–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge IC can push a trickle through the BMS, the cell will recover to a voltage where the protection circuit resets and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Wiko Darkfull shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new battery — is something broken?
Nothing is broken. The fuel gauge IC on the Darkfull's board is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell. The percentage reading will drift or jump until the IC recalibrates against the new cell. Run one complete discharge — let the phone shut off on its own — then charge it to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's curve and percentage accuracy returns.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on the Darkfull — the phone only slow-charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Darkfull's charge IC sometimes falls back to standard current because the new BMS hasn't completed its initial handshake with the charge controller. This is a one-cycle issue. Let the phone complete a full slow charge to 100%, then discharge and recharge normally — fast charge protocol typically resumes on the second cycle once the BMS has confirmed cell integrity to the charge IC.
The Wiko Darkfull feels warm near the battery while charging after the replacement — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a well-cycled cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more energy as heat on the first few cycles. This is normal and reduces as the cell breaks in over three to five charge cycles. If the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold or the heat persists beyond the first few cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a loose pin increases contact resistance and amplifies heating. A properly seated cell should feel only slightly warm, not hot.
