BLU Life View / P104 / L110 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLG13I01)

This 3.7V, 2600mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the OEM cell in the BLU Life View, P104, and L110 smartphones. It fits when the original battery can no longer hold a charge through a normal day. Capacity is 9.62Wh — identical to the factory specification.

  • Life View / P104 / L110 platform fit: These three models share the same battery bay dimensions (83.60 × 64.00 × 4.25mm), the same 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and the same TLG13I01 connector pinout — so one cell covers all three variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge on the BLU platform. The BMS accepted charge current normally, protection circuits tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the cell reached rated capacity within two full cycles.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its reference curve to the new cell before high-current charging adds further variables to an uncalibrated counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Life View after a cell swap

A fresh lithium-polymer cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was trained on. When the OS reports 20–30% remaining, the actual cell voltage may already be dropping toward the cutoff threshold under modem or display load. The BMS shuts the phone down before the OS can log a graceful low-battery event. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge cycle resets the coulomb counter and aligns the IC's state-of-charge estimate to the new cell.

BLU Life View not powering on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

If a lithium-polymer cell discharges below approximately 2.5V per cell during storage, the BMS enters lockout to prevent unsafe recovery charging. The phone will show no response to the power button and no charge indicator on the screen. Connect the device to a low-current USB charger — 5V/500mA wall adapter, not a fast charger — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. Once the BMS detects safe cell voltage, normal charging resumes and the phone will boot.

The BLU Life View percentage jumps around erratically after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped to your old, degraded battery. On a fresh cell with a different voltage profile, the IC loses position mid-cycle and corrects in jumps. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle the percentage readout stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on my BLU Life View right after the battery swap — it only trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after installation, the BMS on a new cell can reject the handshake required for high-current charging as a safety measure while cell impedance is still settling. Charge once at standard rate (5V/500mA) to 100%, then discharge fully. After that initial cycle the charge IC re-negotiates current correctly and fast charge protocol resumes — confirm by checking the charging indicator icon changes to the fast-charge symbol within 60 seconds of plugging in.

My BLU Life View gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

Some warmth is expected during the first few charge cycles on a new high-impedance lithium-polymer cell. A fresh cell presents slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, which the charge IC compensates for with a marginally higher voltage, producing heat. If the back of the phone is uncomfortably hot to hold or the device throttles performance, remove the case to improve airflow and charge at standard rate rather than fast charge until two full cycles are complete. The warmth should reduce noticeably by the third cycle.
