Fits Wiko Darside and Darkside smartphones using OEM part number TLG15G08.
3.7V, 2600mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers the power envelope this phone requires without adapter changes.
Connector slides into the battery slot with the locking tab oriented toward the upper left corner.
Bench testing shows the fuel gauge IC accepts the new cell after one full discharge-charge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the coulomb counter recalibrate against this cell's actual discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Darside — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLG15G08)

This is a 3.7V, 2600mAh (9.62Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the Wiko Darside and Darkside smartphones. It replaces part number TLG15G08 when the original cell degrades, swells, or stops holding a usable charge. Dimensions are 83.60 × 64.00 × 4.25mm — verify against your original before fitting.

  • Darside and Darkside compatibility: Both model names reference the same hardware platform. The connector pinout, cell dimensions, and BMS handshake requirements are identical across both variants, so one part number covers either device.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the bench. The BMS accepted charge current correctly, hit rated voltage without deviation, and the protection circuit tripped at expected low-voltage cutoff without latching.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before higher charge currents are applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Darside after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff failure, not a capacity problem. The Darside's modem and display together pull enough current that a fresh cell — before the fuel gauge IC has completed calibration — hits the BMS's low-voltage cutoff threshold while the OS still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and misreads the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship under load. Run two full discharge and charge cycles at standard charge rates, and the reported percentage will track actual remaining capacity accurately.

Phone warm near the battery during first charges after replacement

A fresh high-impedance cell generates more heat than a broken-in one during the initial charge cycles. The charge IC on the Darside maintains its target current regardless, so internal resistance across the new cell converts more energy to heat until the cell conditions. This is normal for the first two or three full cycles. If the phone stays warm beyond that point or the case feels hot — above roughly 40°C to the touch — stop charging and check cell seating and connector contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Wiko Darside shows 25% battery then just shuts off — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. This is a voltage cliff issue: the Darside's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and cannot accurately predict when the new cell will hit BMS cutoff voltage under modem or screen load. Run two complete discharge-to-charge cycles at standard charge rate — no fast charging — and the shutdowns will stop as the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell.

The battery percentage on my Darside jumps around erratically after I fitted the new cell — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating. It stores the previous cell's discharge curve in memory and the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship does not match it yet. Erratic percentage readings are the coulomb counter correcting itself in real time. Let the phone complete one full discharge from 100% down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle the readings should stabilise.

My Darside won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if this cell dropped below approximately 2.5V the BMS will have entered lockout mode to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle enough current into the cell to bring it above the BMS's recovery threshold before the phone will boot.
