Fits Honor Band 7 fitness smartwatch; replaces OEM battery HB494590EBW.
3.8V, 3050mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full health tracking and activity logging on your wearable.
Connector seats flat into the smartwatch battery slot with single retention clip; no adapters needed.
We charged and discharged this cell on a Band 7 test unit; BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with no fault flags.
On first charge after installation, let the smartwatch complete one full discharge-to-zero cycle before relying on heart rate or SpO2 readings — the fuel gauge IC needs one complete curve to calibrate against this cell's discharge profile.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Honor 7 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB494590EBW)

This is a 3.8V, 3050mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Honor 7 smartphone. It replaces the original HB494590EBW battery when the factory cell has degraded or failed. Dimensions are 87.66 × 44.00 × 5.00mm — verify these against your existing cell before installing.

  • Honor 7 fitment: The Honor 7 uses a fixed connector and BMS handshake tied to the HB494590EBW part number. Swapping in this cell maintains the same voltage rail and connector pinout the charge IC expects.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Honor 7 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC engaged standard CC-CV charging without cutoff errors.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Honor 7 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still reading the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at low charge states than the worn cell did. When the phone pulls load from the modem or display, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the OS still reports 20–30%. One full discharge-charge cycle — down to automatic shutdown, then a full charge to 100% — forces the coulomb counter to remap against the new cell curve.

USB-PD fast charge not triggering on first cycle after installation

The Honor 7's charge IC runs a handshake check before engaging fast charge. On a fresh cell with no charge history, the IC may default to standard 5V charging for the first cycle as a safety measure. This is not a fault with the cell or charger. Complete one full standard charge cycle first, then reconnect the fast charger — the IC will re-run the handshake and fast charge should engage at that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Honor 7 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — why won't it stay on?

The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old cell. The new cell's voltage drops faster under screen or modem load than the worn cell did, so the BMS hits its cutoff threshold before the percentage reaches zero. Run one full cycle — let the phone discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle, the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and the shutdowns stop.

The Honor 7 shows a percentage that keeps jumping around after the battery swap — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against a cell it has no charge history for. Erratic percentage readings are normal for the first one to two cycles after a swap. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption and the gauge will stabilise. If jumping continues past three cycles, check that the connector is fully seated — a loose pin causes intermittent voltage readings that confuse the IC.

My Honor 7 won't power on at all after the new battery sat uninstalled for a few weeks — is it dead?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS locks out to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold. Once the cell reaches around 3.0V, the phone will boot normally.
