Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Honor 6 Plus — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB4547B6EBC)

This 3.8V, 3500mAh (13.3Wh) lithium-polymer cell replaces the original HB4547B6EBC battery in the Huawei Honor 6 Plus and Honor 6 Plus Dual SIM, including variants PE-TL00M and PE-CL00. It fits the same connector footprint and BMS interface as the factory cell. Use the product dimensions — 112.90 × 46.08 × 4.12 mm — to confirm fitment before installing.

  • Honor 6 Plus variant coverage: PE-TL00M, PE-CL00, and the Dual SIM variants all share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Honor 6 Plus platform. The BMS negotiated charge termination correctly, and the protection circuit tripped as expected at low-voltage cutoff. No anomalous heat or balancing errors were logged.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Honor 6 Plus reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The phone's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge model calibrated to the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The gauge reads voltage correctly but maps it to the wrong capacity point, so percentages appear inflated or stuck. One full discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a full uninterrupted charge, resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or display's minimum rail voltage under peak load, even though the gauge still reads above zero. The fuel gauge has not yet learned where the new cell's voltage cliff actually sits. Under combined LTE and screen load, current draw spikes and the cell hits cutoff voltage before the gauge catches up. Run two full calibration cycles and the gauge IC will start triggering low-battery warnings closer to the real depletion point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Honor 6 Plus won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer with the new battery installed — what's happening?

If a lithium-polymer cell drops below roughly 2.5V per cell during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charge input to prevent damage. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits will accept a trickle recovery charge at that point and the phone will boot once the cell clears the minimum threshold voltage.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I tried it after fitting the replacement battery — is the port damaged?

The port is almost certainly fine. Huawei's proprietary charge protocol requires the BMS to complete one standard handshake cycle before the charge IC will accept elevated current. On the first cycle after installation, the controller defaults to standard 5V charging until it confirms the cell is within safe parameters. Complete one full charge at standard speed, then reconnect — fast charging typically resumes on the second cycle once the BMS has confirmed cell integrity.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The Honor 6 Plus charge IC pushes current into higher internal resistance, which converts more energy to heat at the cell surface. This reduces noticeably after three to five full cycles as internal resistance settles. If the back of the phone stays warm between charges — not just during them — check that the battery connector is fully seated and not causing a high-resistance contact point.
