Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Solaris NT2A — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LR18650P-1P3S)
This is an 11.1V, 2600mAh (28.86Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Solaris NT2A portable medical device. It replaces the OEM pack directly, matching the voltage rail and connector configuration of the original. When the factory cell degrades or fails, this pack restores the device to normal operating status.
- NT2A platform fit: The NT2A runs an 11.1V three-cell lithium-ion architecture. This pack uses the same 1P3S cell arrangement as the OEM unit, so the BMS handshake and charge termination signals align without modification or adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the NT2A platform. The BMS accepted charge normally, cell balancing completed without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
- Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the NT2A to complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption. Medical device firmware runs a BMS verification pass at startup — cutting power during this sequence logs a battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot, even if the pack itself is fine.
NT2A not completing boot sequence after battery swap
The NT2A firmware runs a multi-stage initialisation check that includes a BMS handshake before the device reaches its ready state. A new cell at partial state of charge may present a voltage slightly outside the firmware's expected startup window, causing the boot sequence to stall or loop. Charge the replacement pack fully before the first installation. If the device still stalls at boot, remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, reinsert, and allow the full sequence to complete — the BMS re-initialises on each insertion.
Charge indicator not reaching 100% on first charge
On the first charge cycle, the NT2A charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an unfamiliar cell, which can leave the indicator sitting at 95–98% even after the charger has been connected for several hours. This is the charge controller applying a trickle-top algorithm while it profiles the new pack — it is not a faulty cell. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle and the charge IC recalibrates its endpoint. After that cycle, the indicator should reach 100% and terminate normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
The NT2A is alarming low battery immediately after I installed a fully charged replacement — why?
The device BMS compares incoming cell voltage against a stored threshold calibrated to the original OEM chemistry. A new cell that hasn't completed its first full cycle can present a resting voltage profile that sits just below that threshold, triggering the alarm even at full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the new pack before trusting the alarm readout. After that cycle, the BMS recalibrates its reference and the false alarm clears.
The NT2A won't power on at all — the battery has been sitting in the box for a few months before installation.
Lithium-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the pack drops below the BMS recovery threshold (typically around 2.5V per cell, or roughly 7.5V total on a 3S pack), the protection circuit locks out power delivery entirely as a safety measure. Place the pack on charge for at least 60 minutes before attempting to power the device — most chargers apply a low-current pre-charge recovery mode that brings the cell voltage back above the unlock threshold. If the device still won't power on after that charge period, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the contacts are clean.
The NT2A shut down unexpectedly during use after I swapped the battery — it wasn't showing a low battery warning.
New cells in the first 10 cycles have not yet reached full electrochemical capacity, and the NT2A's load profile during active use draws current spikes that stress an unconditioned cell harder than steady operation. The BMS can interpret a voltage sag during a high-draw event as a fault condition and cut output to protect the cell, even when the state-of-charge readout looks normal. Complete at least three full charge-discharge cycles before using the device in a clinical setting — this conditions the cell and allows the BMS to map its real discharge curve accurately.
