Fits Trixell EZ DR and 3543PR wireless detector units; replaces OEM battery part numbers 2ICP5/38/50-4 and 2ICP05/67/89.
7.4V 3600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 26.64Wh to sustain cordless detector operation through full diagnostic imaging sessions without mid-examination power loss.
Connector and locking tab match OEM hardware; battery seats flush in the detector's battery slot with no adapter or modification required.
We bench-tested this cell in the EZ DR platform — BMS initialized correctly on first charge cycle and voltage regulation remained stable under clinical load profiles.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test without interruption; medical imaging systems run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this cycle triggers a false battery fault that persists until full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TRIXELL EZ DR / 3543PR — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (2ICP5/38/50-4)

This 7.4V 3600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the TRIXELL EZ DR and 3543PR portable digital radiography detectors. It slots into the wireless detector unit that operates during X-ray examinations. Capacity is rated at 26.64Wh and matches the voltage rail these detectors require for cordless clinical use.

  • EZ DR and 3543PR compatibility: Both models share the same 7.4V battery platform, connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell format — OEM part 2ICP5/38/50-4 — serves both units without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the EZ DR platform. The BMS completed handshake without fault codes, and the charge IC accepted the cell without flagging a chemistry mismatch.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the detector to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The EZ DR runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power mid-sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Why the EZ DR flags a battery fault on the first charge cycle

The EZ DR's charge IC applies conservative current limits when it encounters a new cell with no charge history. The BMS compares internal resistance and voltage response against stored OEM thresholds. A fresh cell's resting voltage may sit just outside that window until it completes one full charge-discharge cycle. Run one complete cycle before placing the unit in clinical rotation — after that, the BMS learns the cell and the fault clears.

Detector will not power on after the battery sat unused in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and the EZ DR's BMS has a hard undervoltage cutoff — typically around 2.5V per cell. If the pack drops below that threshold, the BMS locks out to protect the cells and the detector will not respond to the power button. Connect the battery to the charger for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge LED activates and voltage climbs above 3.0V per cell, the BMS will re-initialise and normal startup will resume.

Frequently Asked Questions

The EZ DR shows a low battery alarm immediately after I put in a fully charged replacement — why?

The EZ DR's BMS compares the cell's internal resistance profile against OEM baseline values stored at the factory. A new replacement cell has no charge history, so its resistance reading falls outside that window on the first cycle. This triggers a low battery threshold alarm even when the pack is fully charged. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the detector and the BMS will calibrate to the new cell — the alarm will not reappear after that.

The detector powers on but shuts off unexpectedly during an examination — what's causing it?

The EZ DR's load profile during active imaging is significantly heavier than standby draw, and new cells have not yet reached stable internal chemistry in the first 10 cycles. Under peak imaging load, the BMS sees a voltage sag that crosses its cutoff threshold and trips the protection circuit. This is not a faulty battery — it is a new cell responding to a high-demand load before the electrode chemistry has settled. Complete 10 full charge-discharge cycles outside of clinical use before relying on the battery during live examinations.

The charge indicator on the EZ DR stopped at around 90% and never reached 100% on the first charge — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. The charge IC in the EZ DR applies a reduced top-off current to a new cell on its first charge, which causes the indicator to stall below 100% while the cell absorbs the final charge stage slowly. This is a deliberate conservative limit, not a hardware fault. Leave the battery connected on the charger until the charge IC terminates automatically — do not remove it early. On the second charge, the indicator will reach 100% at normal speed.
