Fits Zastone X6 and WLN KD-C1 radios; replaces OEM battery for both models.
3.7V, 1100mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full transmit power on sustained RF output.
Flat connector slides into radio battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush.
We bench tested this pack on a KD-C1 radio — BMS accepted dock charge without fault LED on first insertion.
On initial charge in a KD-C1 dock, the bar indicator may show one bar lower than expected because the new cell sits at storage voltage; this clears after the first full charge cycle completes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zastone X6 / WLN KD-C1 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion battery for the Zastone X6 and WLN KD-C1 portable walkie-talkies. It slots into the original battery bay and restores full transmit and receive function. Dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — verify your bay matches before ordering.

  • X6 and KD-C1 platform fit: Both radios share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, battery footprint, and contact layout. One cell format covers both units — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and PTT transmit loads on compatible hardware. The BMS handled the transmit current spike without tripping, and charge acceptance was normal from the first cycle.
  • Contact strip condition on first insertion: If the charger shows a fault or blink on first insertion, remove the pack, wipe the gold contact strip with a dry cloth, and reseat firmly. The charger needs a clean contact to recognise the BMS and begin charge acceptance.

Why the KD-C1 cuts out mid-transmission on a freshly inserted battery

New Li-ion cells ship at storage voltage — typically 3.6V to 3.7V — not full charge. When you key up, the transmit current draw pulls cell voltage below the BMS low-voltage cutoff threshold before the cell has been fully charged. The radio interprets this as a depleted pack and shuts RF output. Charge the battery fully before the first transmission-heavy use to avoid this.

Bar indicator showing one fewer bar than expected after a full charge

The X6 and KD-C1 use a simple voltage-threshold bar indicator — each bar corresponds to a voltage step, not a percentage. A new cell may read one bar low immediately after charge if the resting voltage hasn't stabilised. Let the pack rest off charge for 10–15 minutes. Resting open-circuit voltage should settle at or above 4.15V, at which point the indicator catches up to the actual state of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Zastone X6 transmits once or twice and then the radio cuts off completely — is the new battery faulty?

It isn't faulty. New Li-ion cells ship at storage voltage, and a PTT transmit spike draws enough current to pull the cell below the BMS cutoff before it's been fully charged. Charge the battery completely before using the radio in transmit-heavy situations. A full charge cycle typically brings resting voltage to 4.15V or above, which gives the BMS the headroom it needs to handle the transmit load without tripping.

The charger dock blinks continuously and never settles into a steady charge light after I insert the new battery — what's wrong?

The dock is rejecting the BMS handshake, usually because of a dirty or poorly seated contact. Remove the pack, wipe the gold contact strip on the battery with a dry cloth, and reseat it firmly until it clicks. If the dock still blinks, check that the contacts on the dock itself are clean and not bent. A pack that has been stored for an extended period may also sit below the dock's acceptance voltage — place it in the dock and leave it for 5 minutes; most chargers will begin a recovery charge once the contacts are clean and seated correctly.

The KD-C1 bar indicator drops to one bar mid-shift even though the battery was fully charged at the start — is it voltage sag?

Yes. Under sustained RF output the cell voltage sags, and the radio's voltage-threshold indicator drops a bar or two in real time. This is normal behaviour for a single 3.7V Li-ion cell under transmit load — the bar recovers when you release PTT. If the bar drops and doesn't recover between transmissions, measure resting open-circuit voltage with a multimeter; a reading below 3.6V confirms the cell is genuinely depleted and needs a full recharge.
