Fits Zeadio ZS-B1 DC two-way radio, replaces OEM battery designation ZS-B1 DC.
3.7V, 1100mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full TX power on portable radio transmissions.
Slide-in connector with positive contact forward; radio dock accepts pack flush, no force required.
We bench-tested this cell in a ZS-B1 DC dock — BMS accepted handshake on first insertion, voltage held steady through ten consecutive PTT cycles at full transmit.
If the radio shows a single bar after fresh insertion, the cell is at storage voltage — insert and let sit powered on for 60 seconds, then check again.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zeadio ZS-B1 DC — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion battery for the Zeadio ZS-B1 DC two-way radio. It fits directly into the ZS-B1 DC battery bay and restores transmit and receive power when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge. No OEM part number is published for this pack.

  • ZS-B1 DC platform fit: The ZS-B1 DC runs a 3.7V single-cell architecture with a slim 5.70mm profile. This pack matches that voltage rail and physical envelope — 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — so the back cover seats and latches without forcing.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through transmit loads and confirmed the BMS holds the output rail steady through PTT press bursts. The protection circuit trips cleanly at overcurrent and resets without requiring a charger reconnect.
  • First insertion on the ZS-B1 DC dock: New cells ship at storage voltage, typically around 3.6–3.65V. If the dock LED blinks fault on first insertion, wipe the contact strip with a dry cloth and reseat the pack firmly. The charger needs a clean contact cycle to read the BMS before accepting the cell for charge.

ZS-B1 DC bar indicator sitting one bar low on a fresh pack

The ZS-B1 DC reads battery level from voltage thresholds, not a fuel gauge chip. A new cell at storage voltage — around 3.6V — sits at or just below the threshold for the top bar. The radio correctly reports what it sees. Run one full charge cycle and the cell will reach 4.2V, which pushes the indicator to full. This is not a fault with the pack.

Radio cuts out mid-transmission on the new ZS-B1 DC battery

Transmit current on a handheld radio spikes sharply the moment PTT is pressed. If the BMS sees that spike as an overcurrent event — particularly on a cold cell or one that hasn't completed a first charge — it can trip the protection circuit and kill the output. The fix is to complete a full charge before the first use, bringing the cell to 4.2V, which lowers internal resistance enough that the transmit surge stays within BMS limits. If cutouts continue after a full charge, check that the battery contacts are clean and seated flush.

Frequently Asked Questions

The dock LED keeps blinking and never switches to charging — what's going on with the new Zeadio battery?

New cells ship at storage voltage, usually 3.6–3.65V, which can fall below the dock's acceptance threshold on some charger designs. Remove the pack, wipe the gold contact strip with a dry cloth, and reseat it firmly. If the dock still won't accept it, place the battery in any compatible USB charger to bring it above 3.7V first, then return it to the dock.

The ZS-B1 DC drops to noticeably weaker audio and transmit power partway through a shift — is the new battery faulty?

This is voltage sag under sustained RF output load. When a Li-ion cell is stressed repeatedly without a full recharge between shifts, the resting voltage drops and the radio's output stage backs off to stay within the rail. It is not a faulty cell. Charge the pack fully after every shift rather than topping up partway, and the sag will not appear until the cell is genuinely near empty.

The Zeadio pack has been sitting unused for several months and the radio won't power on at all now — is the battery recoverable?

Extended storage can push a Li-ion cell below the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.5V, at which point the protection circuit locks out and the radio sees no power. Connect the pack to a charger that supports trickle or pre-charge mode and leave it for 30–60 minutes without interruption. If the cell is above 2.5V internally, the BMS will re-initialise and normal charging will resume; check the charger LED for a transition from fault to charge at that point.
