This 3.7V 2000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number SP405068 in the Luvion Supreme Connect and Prestige Touch baby monitors. It fits the parent unit — the handheld receiver you carry around the house. Capacity is 2000mAh (7.4Wh), matching the original specification.

  • Supreme Connect and Prestige Touch compatibility: Both parent units share the same SP405068 cell format, connector pinout, and 3.7V single-cell BMS logic. Swapping between these two models is straightforward — the physical footprint and charge circuit are identical.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the SP405068 replacement through charge and discharge cycles on the parent unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge indicator moved through its stages correctly at the parent unit's micro-USB port.
  • Re-pairing after power interruption: When the parent unit drops to zero charge — as it will during a battery swap — it loses its wireless link to the camera unit. After fitting this battery, charge the parent unit before powering it on, then run the pairing sequence from the menu. Skipping the re-pair step will leave the screen blank even though the unit powers on.

Why the Luvion parent unit shows a blank screen after a battery swap

A blank screen after fitting a new battery almost always means the wireless link to the camera unit was dropped when power hit zero. The parent unit stores pairing data in volatile memory that clears during a full power-loss event. The camera is still broadcasting — the parent unit just no longer knows where to look. Go to the parent unit's pairing menu and run the sync sequence with the camera unit powered on and within 1 metre.

Night vision not working after fitting a new battery

The camera unit's infrared LEDs draw more current than the standard video circuit. If the parent unit battery is low, the radio link can become unstable, which causes the IR feed to cut out or show a black screen at night. This is not a camera fault — it is a voltage-stability issue on the parent unit side. Charge the parent unit to full (the charge indicator should show complete) before testing night vision again.

The parent unit loses its pairing data when power drops to zero during a swap. The camera is still transmitting, but the parent unit needs to re-learn where to find it. Power on both units, bring them within 1 metre of each other, and run the pairing sequence from the parent unit's settings menu. Once paired, range returns to normal.

The night vision feed on my Luvion Supreme Connect goes black at night — is the new battery faulty?

The IR LEDs on the camera unit demand a stable radio link from the parent unit, and that link gets shaky if the parent battery hasn't reached a full charge yet. We saw the same behaviour on the bench — IR dropout cleared once the cell hit full charge. Charge the parent unit completely before testing night vision. If the feed is still black after a full charge, check that the camera unit's IR mode is enabled in the menu.

The Luvion parent unit battery drains much faster overnight than it did when the monitor was new — why?

Running the parent unit screen on continuously through the night is a sustained draw that degrades a Li-Polymer cell faster than daytime use. If the screen-on timeout is disabled, the display stays lit for hours and accelerates capacity fade. Go into the parent unit display settings and enable the screen timeout or VOX mode, so the screen only activates when sound is detected. This is the single biggest factor in overnight battery drain on this monitor.
