Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Custom Battery Packs 1ICP/18/650 1S1P — 3.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V 2250mAh (8.1Wh) lithium-ion single-cell replacement pack for the Custom Battery Packs 1ICP/18/650 1S1P configuration. It measures 66.00 × 21.80 × 18.50mm, matching the original cell footprint. Use it when the original pack has degraded capacity or fails to hold a charge.

  • Single-cell 1S1P configuration: One cell, no series or parallel wiring — voltage stays at the nominal 3.6V rail the host device expects. There is no mid-pack balancing circuit to negotiate, so the BMS handshake depends entirely on cell voltage being within the device's acceptance window at installation time.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a cell analyser. The BMS cutoff triggered correctly at the low-voltage threshold, and the charge termination stepped down cleanly from bulk to taper current without anomaly.
  • Fuel gauge calibration after swap: After installing, run one full charge-discharge cycle before trusting the capacity indicator. Integrated fuel gauges track coulombs against the old cell's profile — they need one full cycle against the new cell to recalibrate the state-of-charge reading accurately.

Pack not accepted by device after swap

Some host devices run a voltage-range check at power-on before allowing the pack to discharge. A new cell ships at storage voltage — typically 3.6V to 3.7V — which can sit just outside the acceptance window on certain charge ICs. If the device rejects the pack immediately after installation, place it on charge for a full cycle first. Once the cell reaches 4.1V–4.2V, the host's voltage check will clear and normal operation resumes.

Pack not reaching full charge on the first cycle

On the first charge cycle, the charge IC may limit current more aggressively than it will on subsequent cycles. This is normal — the controller is characterising the new cell's internal resistance before allowing full current. The result is a longer first charge and a capacity reading that appears low. Run a second full charge-discharge cycle and verify the pack reaches 4.20V at termination.

Frequently Asked Questions

My device is showing a lower battery percentage than expected right after I installed this pack — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge in the device tracked coulombs against the old, degraded cell and its state-of-charge model is now out of sync. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle — charge to full termination, then discharge to the low-voltage cutoff — and the gauge will recalibrate against the new cell's actual capacity.

The pack feels warm during the first charge. Should I stop the charge?

Warmth during the first charge is normal. A new cell's internal resistance is slightly higher before the first conditioning cycle, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat than it will on later cycles. The pack should return to near-ambient temperature once it moves from bulk charge into the taper phase. If it stays hot or gets too hot to hold, stop the charge and check your charger's output voltage against the 4.2V single-cell maximum.

The device powered off at what looked like 30–40% remaining — why did that happen?

This is a fuel gauge sync problem, not a cell failure. After a battery swap, the gauge's low-voltage threshold can trigger earlier than expected because it is using the old cell's discharge curve. Charge the pack fully, then let it discharge in normal use without interruption. After that single full cycle the gauge recalibrates its cutoff point, and premature shutdowns stop. Confirm the pack reaches 4.20V at the end of the next charge to rule out a charge-termination fault.
