Fits AEG Ventura TD9571, Ventura TD9871, D9, D10, and compatible models as original 2.4V Ni-MH handset battery.
2.4V nominal with 450mAh capacity delivers full talk and standby time on DECT base station acceptance without voltage dropout during transmit.
Connector slides onto handset contacts with positive tab oriented forward; no locking required, seats flush against battery compartment walls.
Bench test showed BMS acceptance on first insertion into Ventura base station; voltage held steady under simulated RF load without cutoff.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless batteries require slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEG Ventura TD9571 / TD9871 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 2.4V, 450mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for AEG cordless phones including the Ventura TD9571, Ventura TD9871, D9, and D10 series. It slots into the handset where the original pack sits and restores the handset to full working order. Dimensions are 41.97 × 18.26 × 8.89mm — measure your existing battery before ordering if you are unsure.

  • Ventura TD9571, TD9871, D9 and D10 compatibility: These AEG handsets share the same 2.4V dual-cell Ni-MH bay, connector orientation, and charge-acceptance voltage range. One pack covers all listed models without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through a full charge cycle on a Ventura TD9571 base station. The base accepted the battery immediately, charge current held steady, and the charge indicator cleared without error.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped from storage are partially discharged — skipping the slow first charge will reduce rated capacity and the battery will never fully recover.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

New Ni-MH cells do not deliver full capacity on the first cycle. Capacity builds across three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles as the cell chemistry stabilises. If talk time is noticeably short after the first day, do not return the battery yet — run the handset to low, place it in the base for a full charge, and repeat. By cycle four or five, capacity should be at or close to the rated 450mAh.

Base station not recognising the new pack — charge light stays off or shows error

Ni-MH packs that have been in storage can drop to a resting voltage below the base station's charge-acceptance threshold. The base sees this as an invalid or absent battery and will not start the charge cycle. Remove the handset, leave it out of the base for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly — the base will retry detection. If the light still does not respond, check that the handset contacts are clean and making full contact with the base pins; a brief wipe with a dry cloth on both contact sets usually resolves it.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AEG Ventura TD9571 lost most of its range after I put in the new battery — is the battery faulty?

Range drops when transmit voltage sags under RF load, which happens when a Ni-MH pack is not yet fully conditioned. The handset radio draws a sharp current spike every time it transmits, and a partially charged or unconditioned cell cannot sustain voltage through that spike. Do the full 16-hour first charge, then complete three to five full cycles. Range should stabilise once the pack reaches its rated 450mAh.

The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?

Some AEG DECT handsets drop their pairing registration when power is fully removed, because the pairing data is held in volatile memory. This is not a battery fault. Re-register the handset using the base station's registration mode — on most AEG units, hold the registration button on the base for three seconds until the base beeps, then follow the handset's on-screen pairing prompt.

The battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what is causing this?

Overnight drain in the base points to a seating issue, not a faulty cell. If the handset is even slightly off-centre, the charge contacts do not close the circuit and the handset runs entirely on battery in standby. Lift the handset out, reseat it with a firm downward press until you feel or hear it click into position, and check that the charge indicator light comes on within a few seconds.
