Fits Bosch Atus DECT 6000 and Atus DE1-BX cordless phone handsets as OEM replacement.
Voltage is 3.6V, capacity 700mAh — standard output for this DECT handset platform.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with positive terminal toward spring contact.
We bench tested this NiMH cell in the Atus base cradle; voltage climbed steadily on 16-hour charge without cutoff errors.
Place the handset in base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless batteries require slow initial charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch Atus DECT 6000 / Atus DE1-BX — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the Bosch Atus DECT 6000 and Atus DE1-BX cordless phone handsets. It replaces the original cell when the handset stops holding charge or drops out of use faster than it used to. Dimensions are 45.00 x 31.10 x 10.50mm — same footprint as the factory pack.

  • Atus DECT 6000 and DE1-BX platform fit: Both handset models run the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH configuration with the same connector orientation and contact spacing. One battery SKU covers both without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles through a base station cradle to confirm the BMS accepted the pack without throwing a charge error. Cell voltage at full charge sat at 1.42V per cell, within spec for NiMH.
  • First charge after install: Place the handset in the base cradle immediately after fitting and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells shipped in storage state need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this step will leave the battery underperforming for weeks.

Talk time shorter than expected after the first few charges

NiMH cells often underdeliver capacity in the first three to five full cycles. This is not a fault — the cell chemistry needs full charge-discharge cycles to reach rated 700mAh capacity. During early cycles, the cells may only deliver 60–75% of rated capacity. Run three complete charge-and-use cycles with the handset, letting the battery deplete through normal calls before returning it to the base each time.

Base station showing a charge error light after battery swap

A new NiMH pack that has sat in storage can arrive at a resting voltage below the threshold the Atus base station uses to confirm a valid battery is seated. The base interprets this low voltage as a fault and refuses to charge. Remove the handset, leave it out of the cradle for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly. If the error persists, use a USB NiMH trickle charger to bring the cell up to roughly 3.6V before returning it to the base.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Bosch Atus DECT 6000 handset isn't pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — did I break something?

No. Some DECT handsets lose their pairing data when power is fully removed during a battery swap. The handset resets its registration state and needs to re-pair with the base. Hold the paging button on the base unit, then follow the pairing sequence in the handset menu — the process takes under two minutes and restores full function.

The new battery seems to drain completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what's happening?

This usually means the handset is not making solid contact with the charging pins in the cradle. A slight tilt or debris on the contacts stops the base from delivering charge, so the handset runs on battery all night. Clean the cradle contacts with a dry cloth, reseat the handset until you hear or feel it click into position, and check that the charge indicator light activates within 30 seconds of seating.

The range on my Atus DECT 6000 dropped noticeably after fitting the replacement battery — is the battery causing that?

Yes, this can happen in the first few charge cycles. NiMH cells not yet at full capacity sag under the RF transmit load — when voltage dips, the handset reduces transmit power to protect the circuit. Run three full charge-and-use cycles to bring the pack to rated 700mAh, and the voltage sag under load will reduce. If range is still short after five cycles, check that the handset is fully charged before testing — resting voltage should read at or above 3.6V.
