Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Loycom C200 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This is a 3.6V, 1200mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Loycom C200 cordless phone handset. It slots into the handset battery compartment and restores talk time and standby capacity lost from a degraded original pack. Dimensions are 56.32 x 42.96 x 20.38mm — confirm against your existing cell before fitting.
- C200 handset compatibility: The C200 handset runs a single-cell 3.6V Ni-MH configuration. This pack matches that voltage rail and physical footprint. No adapter or wiring change is needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a Ni-MH compatible test rig. The cell accepted a full charge, held voltage under simulated RF transmit load, and the BMS did not trip during draw spikes.
- First charge on cordless Ni-MH packs: Place the handset in the base cradle for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped from storage sit below rated capacity — a slow initial charge through the base's trickle circuit is how the pack reaches its 1200mAh rating.
Base station showing no charge or error light after fitting a new pack
Ni-MH cells lose voltage during storage. A pack sitting in a warehouse for several months may arrive at 2.8V or lower. Some cordless base stations read that voltage and refuse to begin charging, showing an error light or no charge indicator at all. This is not a fault with the base or the battery — it is the base's acceptance threshold rejecting a deeply discharged cell. Place the handset in the base and leave it undisturbed. Most bases will begin a recovery trickle charge within 30 minutes once they detect the cell is accepting current. If the error persists after two hours, remove the handset, wait 60 seconds, and reseat it to trigger a fresh detection cycle.
Range drops noticeably after battery swap
Reduced range after fitting a new Ni-MH pack is almost always a voltage sag issue, not a DECT antenna problem. When a fresh Ni-MH cell has not completed its first conditioning cycles, internal resistance is higher than rated. Under RF transmit load the voltage dips, and the handset's transmit power drops with it. After three to five full charge-discharge cycles the internal resistance falls and voltage holds steadier under load. If range is still short after five cycles, check the handset is seating fully in the base — a partial connection forces the base to trickle charge rather than deliver the full charge current the pack needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Loycom C200 talk time is much shorter than it used to be even with the new battery — what's wrong?
This is normal for the first few cycles on a fresh Ni-MH pack. Ni-MH cells are not at full capacity straight out of storage — they need three to five full charge and discharge cycles before the chemistry reaches its rated 1200mAh. Each cycle after the first will show a measurable improvement in talk time. Run the handset until it signals low battery, return it to the base for a full charge, and repeat — by cycle five you should be at or near rated capacity.
The C200 handset lost its pairing with the base after I replaced the battery — how do I get it back?
Removing the battery from a DECT handset cuts power completely, and some DECT phones store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when power is lost. The pairing between the handset and base needs to be re-registered. Return the handset to the base, then follow the registration procedure in your C200 manual — typically holding a registration button on the base unit for five seconds while the handset is seated. The handset should find the base and confirm pairing within 60 seconds.
The C200 battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what causes that?
This points to the handset not making a solid connection with the base charging contacts, not a fault with the battery itself. When the handset sits slightly off-centre or the contacts are oxidised, the base cannot deliver charge current and the handset runs on battery power through the night. Clean the metal charge contacts on both the handset and the base with a dry cloth, then reseat the handset and check that the charge indicator light activates within a few seconds of placement.
