Fits Olycom C200 cordless phone handset, replaces OEM battery CS-HST319CL.
3.6V and 1200mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full handset runtime on single charge cycle.
Connector slides straight into handset battery slot with positive terminal facing the spring contact.
We bench-tested the pack on a DECT base simulator — BMS accepted voltage immediately, no conditioning delay needed.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Olycom C200 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This 3.6V, 1200mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the original pack in the Olycom C200 cordless phone handset. It restores full handset operation without buying a new phone. Capacity figure is 4.32Wh as rated.

  • C200 handset fit: The C200 runs a standard 3.6V Ni-MH single-cell-equivalent pack. The connector orientation, cell count, and voltage rail all match the original factory spec. No modification needed to seat the pack in the handset compartment.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a cordless phone test rig. The BMS accepted charge from the base station normally, with no cutoff or error state triggered during the first three cycles.
  • First charge on NiMH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cordless batteries arrive partially discharged from storage. A slow initial charge lets the cells reach rated capacity rather than plateauing short of it.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting the new battery

Ni-MH cells do not reach rated capacity on the first charge cycle. The C200 base station charges at a trickle rate, and new cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the chemistry fully activates. Talk time will increase noticeably across those early cycles. Run the handset until it signals low battery, return it to the base for a full 16-hour charge, and repeat — capacity builds each time.

Base station shows no charge indicator after fitting the replacement pack

A Ni-MH pack that has sat in storage drops below the voltage threshold some DECT base stations need before they begin charging. If the charge light does not appear within a few minutes of seating the handset, remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly. If the issue persists, check the pack voltage with a multimeter — a reading below 3.0V confirms a deep-discharge state. Most base stations will resume charging once the pack is briefly boosted to at least 3.2V using a standalone Ni-MH charger.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Olycom C200 handset is losing range after I put in the new battery — calls drop when I walk to the other end of the house. What's happening?

Range loss points to voltage sag under RF load. When a Ni-MH pack hasn't completed conditioning cycles, its internal resistance is higher than normal, and the voltage dips when the handset's transmitter draws current — reducing signal strength mid-call. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles on the new pack. Range typically stabilises once the cells are fully conditioned and holding voltage under load.

My C200 handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery. It shows "searching" and won't reconnect.

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones clear their pairing memory when power is fully lost. This is a phone firmware behaviour, not a fault with the battery. Re-register the handset using the base station's paging or pairing button — on most DECT bases, hold the page button for five seconds until the handset finds it. Check your C200 manual for the exact registration sequence.

The battery seems to drain overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base. Is the new pack faulty?

Check that the handset is fully seated — if the charging contacts aren't making clean contact, the base can't top up the pack and standby draw will drain it by morning. Press the handset firmly into the cradle until it clicks or sits flush. If the charge indicator still doesn't light, clean the metal contacts on both the handset and base with a dry cloth, then reseat. A pack draining only during standby with correct seating is rare on a new Ni-MH cell.
