Fits Hagenuk ST9000CX and ST9000ZX cordless phone handsets, replacing OEM part number KT951.
3.6V 1200mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers the same output as the original battery pack for this DECT handset.
Connector slides into the battery slot on the handset base with a single locking tab — orientation is keyed.
We bench-tested this cell in a ST9000CX unit; the base station accepted the new pack on first insert with no voltage rejection errors.
Place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cells in DECT phones reach rated capacity only after a slow initial charge cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hagenuk ST9000CX / Digicell Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (KT951)

This is a 3.6V 1200mAh Ni-MH battery replacing the KT951 pack in Hagenuk cordless handsets. It fits the ST9000CX, ST9000ZX, Digicell, and Digicell CX among others. The cell chemistry and connector match the original factory specification.

  • ST9000CX and Digicell platform fit: These models share the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH architecture and KT951 footprint. The connector orientation, cell count, and BMS-free low-voltage floor are identical across the range, so one pack covers all listed variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery on a ST9000-series handset and confirmed the base station accepted the charge contact without error. The NiMH cells reached stable capacity by cycle four, with voltage holding above 3.3V under RF transmit load.
  • First-charge requirement for NiMH cordless packs: After fitting, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16-hour slow charge before first use. NiMH cells in cordless phones need this initial slow charge to reach rated capacity — a 1–2 hour top-up will not be enough and will make the battery appear weak out of the box.

Range drops mid-call after fitting a new NiMH pack

DECT handsets adjust RF transmit power based on available voltage. A fresh NiMH pack that hasn't completed conditioning cycles will sag below 3.3V under the current draw of active transmission. The base station interprets this as a weak signal rather than a battery issue, so the handset steps down its transmit power and range shrinks noticeably. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles and the voltage sag under RF load will stabilise.

Handset stops pairing with the base after battery replacement

Some Hagenuk DECT models store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when power is fully removed — which happens the moment you swap the battery. The handset comes back up without a registered base and will show no line or no signal. To fix this, hold the handset's Paging or Find button on the base for three seconds while the handset is powered on, then follow the on-screen register prompt. Pairing typically completes within 30 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Hagenuk ST9000CX talk time is terrible even after a full charge — is the new battery faulty?

Almost certainly not. NiMH cordless phone batteries typically deliver well under half their rated capacity for the first three to five cycles. The cells need repeated full charge-discharge cycles to break in — this is normal NiMH behaviour, not a defect. Run the handset down until it beeps low, return it to the base for a full overnight charge, and repeat this three times before judging capacity.

The base station shows a charge error light after I fitted the replacement battery — what's wrong?

NiMH cells lose voltage during storage, and some Hagenuk bases reject a pack that presents below roughly 3.0V at the charge contacts. The base sees the low open-circuit voltage and flags it as a fault rather than starting a charge cycle. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly — contact pressure matters. If the error persists, briefly connect the handset to a USB power source or second charger for five minutes to raise the cell voltage above the base's acceptance threshold, then return it to the base.

The battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what causes that?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. The Hagenuk ST9000-series base charges through spring contacts on the handset base plate, and if the handset isn't sitting flush, the circuit doesn't close and the battery continues drawing standby current without recharging. Check that the handset clicks into the base and that both gold contacts on the handset align visibly with the pins on the cradle. Clean the contacts with a dry cloth if there's any tarnish, then reseat the handset and confirm the charge indicator light activates.
