Fits TeXet DECT TX-D7400 and TX-D7750 handsets; replaces OEM part 5M702BMX.
This 2.4V, 600mAh Ni-MH pack delivers full talk and standby duration on DECT range.
Connector slides straight into handset battery slot; no locking tab, orientation marked on pack.
We tested the cell on a TX-D7400 base — BMS accepted voltage immediately, no charge delay.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TeXet DECT TX-D7400 / TX-D7750 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (5M702BMX)

This is a 2.4V, 600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the TeXet DECT TX-D7400 and TX-D7750 cordless phone handsets. It replaces OEM part numbers 5M702BMX, GP0827, GP0845, GP0735, GP0747, and GP0748. Install it when the original pack no longer holds enough charge to keep the handset usable between trips to the base.

  • TX-D7400 and TX-D7750 compatibility: Both handsets share the same 2.4V two-cell NiMH pack format, connector pinout, and physical footprint — 35.40 × 32.50 × 6.70mm. One replacement covers both models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on the TX-D7400 handset. The BMS accepted charge from the base station immediately, and the cell voltage stabilised correctly across three full discharge-and-charge cycles.
  • First charge after installation: Seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before the first call. NiMH cells ship partially discharged. Skipping this slow initial charge leaves the pack below rated capacity and the first few cycles feel short — this is chemistry, not a fault.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

NiMH cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. The electrodes haven't fully activated from factory storage, so the first few cycles deliver noticeably less talk time than the original worn battery — and far less than the 600mAh rating. Run the handset until it prompts a low battery warning, then return it to the base for a full charge. By cycle four or five, capacity settles at or near the rated 600mAh.

Base station shows no charge light or error light after fitting the new pack

NiMH packs can drop below 2.0V during long storage. Some DECT base stations won't initiate a charge cycle if the incoming voltage is too low — the base reads it as a fault rather than a flat battery. Remove the handset, leave the pack connected, and let it sit in the base for 30 minutes. Most bases have a trickle pre-charge that raises the cell voltage enough to trigger the main charge cycle. If the light remains off after 30 minutes, check the base contacts are clean and making firm contact with the handset terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TX-D7400 handset is losing range — it cuts out much closer to the base than it did before. Is this the new battery?

Yes, most likely. When a NiMH pack hasn't completed its conditioning cycles, voltage sags under the RF transmit load — the DECT radio draws a short burst of current every time it communicates with the base, and an under-conditioned cell can't hold the voltage rail steady. Run three to five full discharge-and-recharge cycles first. After conditioning, transmit voltage stabilises and range returns to normal.

The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery. How do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones drop their pairing data when power is fully lost. Re-pairing takes about 60 seconds: place the handset in the base, press and hold the page/find button on the base unit for five seconds until the base LED flashes, then follow the handset registration prompt. The exact button label varies — check the TX-D7400 manual for the "Register Handset" step if the base LED doesn't respond.

The handset is fully charged but the battery drains completely overnight even though no calls were made.

This is a standby draw problem, not a battery fault. If the handset isn't seated squarely in the base cradle, the charging contacts don't make a clean connection and the handset runs entirely off the battery rather than line power. Remove the handset, clean the gold contacts on both the handset and the base with a dry cloth, then reseat it firmly — you should see the charge indicator light activate within a few seconds of docking.
