Fits Onyx BOOX 60, BOOX i62M Victoria, and i62ML e-readers; replaces OEM part 355585 and BBA10.
3.7V, 1600mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 5.92Wh to sustain full reading sessions on large-format e-ink displays.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the device housing.
We bench-tested this cell in a BOOX 60 across five full charge cycles; BMS accepted the new pack without fault codes.
After installation, charge via USB-C for one complete cycle before regular use—the e-reader firmware recalibrates battery percentage display after cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Onyx BOOX 60 / i62M Victoria Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (355585)

This is a 3.7V, 1600mAh lithium-polymer cell for the Onyx BOOX 60, BOOX i62M Victoria, and i62ML e-readers. It replaces OEM part numbers 355585 and BBA10. These are large-format e-ink devices — the original cell degrades with repeated charge cycles, leaving the reader unable to hold enough charge for a normal session.

  • BOOX 60 / i62M / i62ML shared battery rail: These three models run the same 3.7V cell with matching connector pitch and BMS handshake logic. The PCB protection circuit on each device communicates directly with the cell's onboard protection layer — voltage thresholds and cutoff behaviour are identical across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on e-reader BMS hardware. The protection circuit held cutoff at the correct low-voltage floor, and charge acceptance across the full 1600mAh rated capacity was confirmed before stock is listed.
  • First charge after cell swap: Connect via USB immediately after installing and run a complete charge cycle before powering on. The BOOX firmware recalibrates its battery percentage display against the new cell during this first full charge — skipping it causes the indicator to report incorrect readings for multiple subsequent cycles.

Why the BOOX 60 shows low battery immediately after a new cell is installed

Replacement cells ship at storage voltage — typically 3.6V to 3.85V — not at full charge. The BOOX firmware compares resting voltage against its charge table on first boot, and a cell sitting at storage voltage reads as partially or critically discharged. This is not a fault with the cell. Connect the device to USB before attempting to power it on, allow the charge indicator to move, then run the battery to full before the first use cycle.

Battery percentage jumping or stuck after replacement on BOOX i62M / i62ML

The e-reader's fuel gauge is calibrated to the original cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has a different resistance signature, so the firmware's percentage estimate is unreliable until it completes a full learning cycle. Charge to 100%, use the device until it shuts off at low voltage, then charge fully again. After two full charge-discharge cycles, the percentage readout stabilises at the correct value.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BOOX 60 won't turn on at all after fitting the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

The cell almost certainly shipped at storage voltage, which sits below the minimum boot threshold the BOOX 60 requires to start. Plug it into USB without attempting to power it on and leave it connected for at least 10 minutes — the charge circuit will wake the cell from storage state. Once the screen shows a charging indicator, the device has enough voltage to boot normally.

Page turns feel slower on my i62M Victoria since the battery swap — what's causing that?

E-ink refresh draws a short voltage pulse from the cell each time the display updates. If the new cell hasn't completed a full charge cycle yet, its resting voltage is lower than the firmware expects, and the display controller gets less headroom on each refresh pulse — that slows the waveform timing. Charge the device fully before heavy use and the response rate returns to normal once the cell is operating at its rated 3.7V nominal.

WiFi sync is draining the new battery much faster than I expected on the BOOX 60 — is this normal?

Yes. WiFi draw on the BOOX 60 is significantly higher than e-ink display refresh alone. A reading-only session barely touches the cell between page turns, but active WiFi keeps the radio powered continuously. Turn WiFi off in settings when syncing is not needed and only enable it for transfers — this is the single most effective step to extend time between charges on this device.
