Fits Haibike Sduro, FullNine RC, FullNine RX, and HardNine RC models with OEM battery compatibility verified.
36V 13000mAh lithium-ion delivers 468Wh total energy for motor assist on climbs and extended range rides.
Connector slides into the downtube battery bay with a quarter-turn locking collar; orientation marked on both pack and frame slot.
We bench-tested this pack on a Sduro charge curve—BMS accepted full voltage handshake from stock Haibike charger with no fault codes.
After winter storage, connect the charger and let this battery sit for 30 minutes before the first ride; cold cells below 10C draw current slower and skip the charger acceptance window if you force a fast charge cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Haibike Sduro / FullNine Series — 36V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 36V 13000mAh (468Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Haibike Sduro and FullNine series electric bikes. It replaces the original frame-mounted pack that powers the pedal-assist motor system. Fits the Sduro, FullNine RC, FullNine RX, HardNine RC, and five additional models in the same platform family.

  • Sduro and FullNine platform compatibility: These models share the same 36V battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why a single pack covers the full range. Swapping between them requires no adapters or wiring changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated motor-start loads and sustained climb simulations. The BMS handled peak current draw without tripping into protection mode, and cell balance held tight across the full discharge curve.
  • First ride after storage: If the bike has sat unused over winter, connect the charger for at least two hours before taking the bike out. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and pushing the motor hard on a cold, partially charged pack accelerates capacity fade at the anode level.

E-bike motor cutting out mid-hill on a new battery

On steep inclines, the motor draws sustained high current that can spike beyond the BMS protection threshold — even on a fully charged pack. When that happens, the BMS cuts power to protect the cells, and the motor goes silent mid-climb. This is more common on first use because the cells haven't been through a full conditioning cycle yet. Running two or three complete charge-discharge cycles normalises cell resistance and raises the effective cutoff ceiling so the BMS trips less readily under climbing load.

Charger not accepting the pack after long-term storage

Li-ion packs left uncharged for months can drop below the minimum acceptance voltage that most chargers require to begin a charge cycle. The charger sees the pack as a fault condition and refuses to start. Connect the charger anyway and leave it plugged in for 30 minutes — most chargers will trickle current into the pack until the cell voltage climbs back above the threshold, typically around 30V, at which point normal charging resumes automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Haibike motor stutters and loses power when I hit a steep section with a full load — is the battery failing?

This is voltage sag, not a failing battery. Under heavy rider load on an incline, peak current demand causes cell voltage to temporarily drop, and the motor controller interprets that as a low-battery condition and reduces output. It happens most on packs that haven't been fully conditioned yet. Run three full charge-discharge cycles and check that the pack is at or above 41V before attempting steep climbs.

My Haibike shows a fraction of its normal range on the first cold morning of the year — what's happening?

Li-ion capacity drops 15–25% below 5°C because cold temperatures increase internal cell resistance and slow electrochemical reaction rates. The battery isn't damaged — it's a physical property of the chemistry. Store the battery indoors overnight and fit it to the bike just before riding. After 10–15 minutes of gentle pedalling, cell temperature rises and capacity returns closer to the rated 468Wh.

The BMS on my Haibike pack keeps tripping on long uphill rides but never on flat ground — how do I stop it?

Sustained climbing draws continuous high current, which pushes cell temperature up over time until the BMS thermal cutoff activates. On flat ground, current demand is intermittent and the cells stay cooler. The fix is to pause assist on long climbs for 60–90 seconds every few minutes to let cell temperature drop. Also confirm the battery contacts and frame connector are clean and seated fully — resistance at the connector generates additional heat that accelerates the trip.
