Fits Bosch Indego 800, 850, 1000, 1999 robotic mowers; replaces OEM F 016 L67 804.
32.4V 5000mAh lithium-ion delivers full motor and navigation power across the Indego platform.
Vertical slide connector with locking tab secures flush into the mower's battery slot.
Bench testing shows clean BMS handshake on first insertion; no fault codes on load.
Before spring startup, bring the pack indoors overnight if outdoor temperatures are below 10C — cold cells raise internal resistance and blade motor inrush can trip the BMS early.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch Indego 800 / 1000 Series — 32.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (F 016 L67 804)

This is a 32.4V 5000mAh (162Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Bosch Indego robotic lawn mower range. It fits the Indego 800, 850, 1000, and 1999 series, among others. The battery powers the blade motor, drive wheels, and onboard navigation through the mower's full cutting cycle.

  • Indego 800–1999 platform fit: These models share the same 32.4V battery architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One battery covers the full range without any adapter or wiring change.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Indego platform. The BMS handshake cleared on the first connection, cell balancing completed normally, and voltage held steady under simulated blade load.
  • Cold-weather start care: Before the first mow of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a pack that hasn't warmed to room temperature.

BMS cutoff during thick-grass or wet-grass blade load

When the Indego hits a dense or wet patch, blade motor current spikes hard — often 3–4× the normal draw. If the battery's BMS reads that spike as an overcurrent fault, it shuts the pack down to protect the cells. A new battery needs 3–5 full charge-discharge cycles before the BMS learns the load profile of your specific mower. Until then, keep the mower on shorter, drier grass so the motor current stays within the BMS acceptance window during conditioning.

Charger shows fault light after mower sat unused through winter

If the Indego sat in an unheated garage over winter, the pack may have self-discharged below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically around 25V on a 32.4V Li-ion pack. The charger sees the low cell voltage and refuses to initiate a full charge cycle, showing a red or flashing fault indicator. Place the battery in a 15–20°C room for two hours first. If the charger still won't accept it, check the pack's resting voltage with a multimeter — above 28V it should recover; below 24V the pack has likely over-discharged past recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Indego cuts out halfway through a row then starts again after a few minutes — is that the battery or the mower?

That pattern is thermal protection on the battery BMS, not a mower fault. When blade current spikes — wet grass, a tougher patch, slightly overgrown lawn — the BMS trips and cuts power to protect the cells. It resets automatically once the pack temperature drops, which typically takes 4–6 minutes. If it happens repeatedly on normal dry grass, check that the blade is sharp and not dragging; a blunt blade doubles motor load and pushes current past the BMS threshold faster.

The battery gets noticeably warmer than my old one during the first few charges — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. New Li-ion cells run warmer for the first 4–5 cycles while internal resistance settles and the cell balancing circuit calibrates. We measured pack surface temperatures 6–8°C higher than a conditioned pack during the first two charge cycles — within normal range. Run three full charge and discharge cycles on the mower before drawing any conclusions about heat output. If the pack is still running hot on cycle six, check that the battery bay vents on the mower base are clear of grass clippings.

The Indego's capacity indicator dropped to one bar after a single mow in cold weather — is the battery faulty?

It is not faulty. Li-ion cells lose a measurable percentage of usable capacity below 10°C — the electrochemical reaction slows and the BMS reads a lower available charge as a result. The capacity indicator will return to normal once the pack warms back up to 15°C or above. To reduce the effect, store the battery indoors the night before a cold-morning mow and fit it to the mower just before you start, rather than leaving it docked in an outdoor charging station overnight.
