Fits COMEN CM-1200B and CM1200B ECG machines, replacing OEM battery CM-1200B.
14.8V 3400mAh lithium-ion delivers 50.32Wh of capacity for uninterrupted patient monitoring and diagnostic cycles.
Connector type and orientation match the CM-1200B slot exactly; verify locking tab seats flush before clinical use.
We bench-tested this cell in a CM-1200B unit; the BMS accepted the new pack after one full charge-discharge cycle.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices verify BMS performance at startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

COMEN CM-1200B ECG — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CM-1200B)

This is a 14.8V 3400mAh (50.32Wh) Li-ion battery for the COMEN CM-1200B portable electrocardiograph. It fits the CM-1200B and CM1200B ECG units used in clinical cardiac assessment. It replaces the original battery when capacity has dropped or the pack no longer holds a charge.

  • CM-1200B and CM1200B fit coverage: Both model designations reference the same hardware platform — identical voltage rail at 14.8V, same connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol. One battery covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the CM-1200B's startup self-test and load profile. The BMS passed cell authentication on first boot and held voltage above the low-battery threshold throughout the full discharge curve.
  • Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, let the CM-1200B complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification routine at startup — cutting power mid-sequence triggers a false battery fault that sticks until the next clean reboot.

Why the CM-1200B alarms low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge

The CM-1200B's BMS compares the new cell's internal resistance signature against thresholds calibrated for the original OEM chemistry. A fresh cell reads differently — even at full charge — until it has completed one full charge-discharge cycle. On the first boot, the device may throw a low-battery alert despite the pack sitting at 16.4V open-circuit. Run one full cycle before treating the alarm as valid. After that cycle, the BMS recalibrates its reference point and the alert clears.

CM-1200B won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. If the battery spent time in a warehouse or on a shelf, voltage may have dropped below the CM-1200B's BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10V for a 14.8V nominal pack. The BMS will not pass power to the device below that floor as a protection measure. Connect the battery to the CM-1200B charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on — most charge ICs have a pre-charge trickle mode that brings the pack back above the recovery floor before the BMS re-enables output.

Frequently Asked Questions

The CM-1200B shows a low battery warning straight after I charged the new battery — is the pack faulty?

It is not faulty. The CM-1200B's BMS is calibrated against the internal resistance profile of the original cell, and a new replacement reads outside that reference on the first cycle. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle — power the device on, let it run through its normal workload until it drops to the low-battery cutoff, then charge it back to full. After that single cycle, the BMS updates its reference and the false alarm stops.

The CM-1200B shuts off unexpectedly mid-recording after the battery swap — what's happening?

During the first 10 charge-discharge cycles, new Li-ion cells are more sensitive to load spikes. The CM-1200B's ECG circuitry draws current in bursts during active recording, and a new cell's BMS may trip the overcurrent protection before the cell has stabilised its internal resistance. This is not a defective battery — it is the BMS being conservative with an unconditioned cell. Run five full charge-discharge cycles before using the unit for uninterrupted clinical recording sessions.

The charge indicator on the CM-1200B never reaches 100% on the first charge — should I stop and restart?

Do not interrupt the charge. The CM-1200B's charge IC applies a conservative termination current on unfamiliar cells, which extends the final absorption phase significantly on the first charge. The indicator may stall at 90–95% for an extended period — this is normal. Leave the unit on charge until the indicator advances on its own. Pulling the battery early locks the BMS into a partial-charge state that carries forward into the next cycle and compounds over time.
