Fits Alcatel OT-8050D and One Touch Pixi 4 6.0 smartphones; replaces TLp025DC and TLp025D2 batteries.
3.8V, 2500mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on aged cells that no longer hold charge.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
Bench testing shows the BMS accepts charge current immediately; fuel gauge IC requires recalibration cycle.
On first use, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging to let the fuel gauge recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4 6.0 / OT-8050D — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp025DC)

This 3.8V, 2500mAh (9.5Wh) lithium-polymer cell replaces the original TLp025DC and TLp025D2 batteries in the Alcatel OT-8050D and One Touch Pixi 4 6.0 series. It fits the standard 75.48 × 69.55 × 3.10mm battery bay and connects to the same three-contact board as the original. Capacity figures are taken from the product data, not estimated from third-party sources.

  • Pixi 4 6.0 and OT-8050D platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell works across the full compatibility group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle on the OT-8050D. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering a protection cutoff, and the charge IC held a steady 4.35V termination voltage at end of charge.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the OT-8050D after a cell swap

The OT-8050D's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC keeps using that old curve. Near the bottom of the charge window, the new cell's actual voltage drops below what the modem and display can sustain under load — causing an abrupt cutoff even though the OS still shows charge remaining. One complete discharge cycle lets the coulomb counter relearn the new cell's voltage curve and move the shutdown point to the correct floor, typically around 3.4–3.5V under load.

Phone reports wrong battery percentage after replacement

The Android fuel gauge IC on this platform calibrates percentage against a stored cell model — not a live voltage reading. After fitting a new cell, the IC is still referencing the degraded curve of the old battery, so displayed percentage jumps or reads high early and drops fast near the end. Charge the phone to 100% without interruption, then let it discharge fully to auto-shutdown, then charge back to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline and percentage tracking stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

Most likely the BMS has entered deep-discharge lockout. If cell voltage has dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit opens and blocks normal charge current. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell and lift it above the BMS recovery threshold before the phone will boot.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement — the phone just slow-charges now.

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on a new cell often rejects the handshake for the proprietary fast-charge protocol as a safety measure until it confirms the cell is within normal parameters. Charge the phone once at standard rate to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. The charge IC re-initiates the voltage negotiation sequence on the second session, and fast charging typically resumes at that point.

The phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges — is something wrong?

A new lithium-polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. During the first one or two charge sessions, the charge IC pushes current into a cell that hasn't yet settled to its steady-state resistance, which generates slightly more heat than normal. Charge on a hard flat surface rather than a soft surface like a bed or case pouch, and avoid using the phone heavily while charging during those first two cycles. If warmth persists past the third full charge, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the contacts are clean.
