Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo Y53 Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-C1)
The B-C1 is a 3.85V, 2500mAh Li-Polymer cell that fits the Vivo Y53 and Y53 Dual SIM. It replaces the original internal battery when the existing cell degrades, swells, or can no longer sustain a full day of use. Dimensions are 76.38 × 60.35 × 3.55mm — confirm these against your current cell before installation.
- Y53 and Y53 Dual SIM fitment: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC interface. The B-C1 part number covers both — no hardware difference between the single and dual SIM build that affects battery fitment.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles, confirming the BMS accepts the charge IC handshake without fault flags. Charge termination landed at 4.35V as expected for this cell chemistry.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Y53 after a cell swap
The Y53's fuel gauge IC holds a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell with a slightly different internal resistance profile causes the IC to misread the remaining charge. Under modem or screen load, voltage drops faster than the IC predicts, and the phone shuts down before the percentage reaches zero. One full uninterrupted discharge cycle — from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then a full charge — resets the coulomb counter against the new cell curve. After that cycle, the percentage readings stabilise.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
On the first charge after installation, the charge IC may default to standard 5V charging instead of fast charge. This happens because the BMS on a new cell starts in a conservative protection state until it completes one full cycle with the host device. Let the first charge run to 100% at standard rate without interruption. Fast charge should activate normally from the second cycle onward once the BMS has completed its initialisation handshake with the phone's charge controller.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Vivo Y53 shuts off at around 25% after putting in a new battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC on the Y53 is still using the discharge curve it mapped to your old battery, and the new cell's voltage drops at a slightly different rate under load. When the phone's modem or screen pulls current, voltage sags faster than the IC expects, triggering a low-voltage shutdown. Run one full uninterrupted discharge cycle — let the phone drain to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% — and the coulomb counter will recalibrate to the new cell.
The battery percentage on my Y53 is jumping around erratically after the replacement — 60% one minute, then 45% the next.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The IC's stored charge-state model no longer matches the new cell's actual capacity and impedance, so readings swing as it tries to reconcile measured voltage with its old reference curve. Do not interrupt the first discharge — let the phone run from 100% to auto-shutdown in one continuous session, then charge fully without stopping. Two or three cycles done this way will stabilise the readings.
My Vivo Y53 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after I replaced the cell — is that normal?
Some warmth during the first few charges is expected. A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell dissipates slightly more energy as heat while the charge IC adjusts current delivery to the cell's resistance profile. It should not be hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold. If the phone feels hot rather than warm, or if charging stops early, check that the connector is fully seated — a loose contact increases resistance and generates more heat at the joint. Normal warmth typically reduces after three to four full cycles as the cell's impedance settles.
